  • ugh. 2005-09-02 05:09:25 everytime i start a video, there's a problem. my computer is dying, mainly because i use it for the internet. I think i need a second computer soley for video editing.

    As soon as I get that... I've got a bajillion ideas. holy crap, it shall be done! 
  • w00 h00 finally a vid 2005-01-15 17:42:14 Alright, I'm finally getting started on my second AMV. The first one I felt was okay... but I should've split it into a few parts or something.

    This video I am beginning today is goin got be Evangelion (End of... Death and Rebirth... Series...) to Timorous Me [Ted Leo]

    I love the song, and something makes it seem like it could fit to the Eva series... the problem is that I can't figure out how it fits. Mebbe I can make a really strange action video. Whatever, it'll come out good I'm sure.

    I'm using the Angel Potion's Divx build to encode. So far it works out quite well. Time to get crackin!

     
  • i'm back. yay 2004-11-23 11:03:49 not that anyone noticed the goneness... but i'm back now, with dial-up. it's like being in a coma with life-support. O well, I'll live.

    Those 500+ vdeos i had to rate and review turned out to be over 700. o well. I've slacked off, been working on a video for my girlfriend, a movie for my film class, and finding a decent job and place to live. Blah. So I still have about 400 of those videos to go through. I'm gonna go through the 1000-some collection and write reviews to each of them as soon as i'm done with the rest. And then I begin downloading more. ^.^;; fun?

    My internet is going to be down for a long time. I am inflicted with an odd lonliness, but at least I've got 500+ music vids I never got around to reviewing. I guess I can do that in the period of time I have to wait to get my cable modem back (it's no longer affordable, and there is no way in hell I'm putting up with dial-up).

    Also, I'm re-organizing my computer and cleanin out my HDD. This means no more Animatrix AMV project. I'm sick of the song I was using and I'm sick of Detective Story. I had less than a minute of video done and my lack of originality made the attempt at an original video quite difficult.

    So, to replace that project, I'm going to make a remastered version of my only video on this site. The 20 minute long one. This time, I'm going to make it bearable to sit through it. Instead of the fansub, I'm going to use a high-quality DVD rip. Also, I'm going to edit with Adobe Premiere as opposed to Windows Movie Maker, which can suck my left testicle (not as if my right wouldn't suffice...)

    The first song will be left as is... same scenes, same music... just better quality of both and better timing here and there. The rest will be same general scenes and more editing to match the music and make the video entertaining after 5 minutes of it.

  • o.o;; 2004-02-19 00:53:45 Alright, I guess my first time using this journal was sorta... pointless.

    Now I'm just gonna update with random stuff goin on with me pretaining to this site. A more practical use, I guess.

    So for now, I have over 400 videos I have downloaded that have yet to be reviewed. >.< I want to give everyone an honest opinion from me, because I know it helps to get an opinion on your vid. So far I'm downloading videos specifically from the anime:

    All Tenchi (even though I have a deep dislike for Tenchi in Tokyo...)

    If someone suggests a video for me to download or if someone really wants my opinion, than I will make an exception. ^.^ I'm not saying that there's anything special about me, but I enjoy giving lenghty reviews if a video deserves it. Some videos I find to be either too good, or too average to be commented on.


    My current project is going to be a huge improvement over my first video, which I must say I was very dissapointed in. 20 minutes and rather boring, even to me. The anime I'm using for this is Detective Story from The Animatrix. The songs I will use are Someone Searching [Ginny Owens] and All My Life [Foo Fighters]. It's a very interesting combination, but I hope it will work out. GARGH! I'm having trouble with video quality after ripping the DVD's and re-installing all my encoders which seem to have not been working very well for some flippity odd reason.

    Erm, that's all I've got for now... I'll keep posted.
