ooh. Entry....
Been an interesting week here. Gearing up for Halloween (I'm going as the Queen of Hearts and my daughter is going as Alice <3) and I have some serious costumes to sew. Trying to draft patterns for unheard of ideas from the kids is actually kinda fun. I made a Naruto outfit last year for my son (even crafted the headband myself) and this year he wants to be someone from FFX. Um... No clue. So internet image research happens this afternoon!
I also have a second interview today for the graphics job, so I'm pretty stoked about that.
Been watching a few of the new vids out there, and gotta say I loved the one Willen did with FLCL and Queen. He has an excellent sense of timing. Watch it if you haven't already! http://www.animemusicvideos.org/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=72129
Another one that was just done to work on an effect that I liked was Kitsuner's Toast to Toast. XD I had to lol at the breadmaker scenes and lyric sync. FRENCH TOAST! It was one of those New Vid on the Block entries that caught my eye.. http://www.animemusicvideos.org/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=72212
As for the train wreck known as the legendary Dedicated to Sailor Earth MEP, I have been guiltily finding myself watching it over and over. Some bits are too good... er, bad... to watch only once. The Fanny Pack track kills me every time.
I've also been working on updating my big website as well as my other not-so-big-but-quite-insignificant sites. Finally got Dreamweaver, and have really enjoyed the wysiwyg interface. A lot easier for me to use that than trying to HTML the thing and having to preview it multiple times. I am soooo not made for coding and programming. If it's visual, I can handle it. XD Still working on the online protfolio for my freelance stuff, and hope to have it done sometime this afternoon. I need to have it done so I can start canvassing the area and hunting down screenprinters for references. muahahahahahaha....
Oh, and I am baking cookies. Chocolate chip.
JUB HAS COOKIES!!!!!111!!!ELEVENOMG!
If anyone is going to Oni-Con in October, let me know! Mebbe we can have lunch or something on Saturday. I can't make it Friday because I'm in charge of a Halloween party that night, but I'll be there on Sat with my son in tow. And Raven. w00tness! Party at my house!
Did I mention the cookies?

Oh, and because I can....

I really hate being sick... Really. (Is that more than 3 words? Can't tell. I'm seeing double anyway.)
My recommendation for something upbeat and random would be Hinano's 'Stop Looking at my ****'. http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_videoinfo.php?v=118889
Love this one.
As far as editing goes, I am ripping DVDs like a mad woman, but will be working more on my websites today instead of editing. Usually I don't do stuff like that on Sundays, but since I'm sick, I'm taking the day off from Church too. I'm guessing nobody wants me to share THIS with the congregation. Although, if timed right, they could be sick in time to take a day off from service to catch an A&M game. hmmmm.....
I am not a football fan by any stretch of the imagination, but I do enjoy watching it from time to time. Better in real life, IMO, than on TV.
Basketball is different though. I like NCAA ball better than NBA (shorter games, more raw emotion). Teams, you ask? Duke and Wake Forest. I kinda follow the Wolfpack of NC State (since I went to school there), but not a rabid fan. UNC is a great team, but I just can't pull for them when they are playing any of the teams listed above. Goes against my red blood. I miss Dean though. Got to meet him once.
NBA teams? Jazz and Spurs. (Been to many Jazz games, and miss the Stockton, Malone, Hornacek combo. Hopefully they will keep getting better...)
More info that a) nobody will read and b) see point a.
Did I mention that I'm sick?

O_o
Second job interview on Monday! Taking the weekend to brush up on some programs once used but forgotten so I can do sample layouts onsite.
Hours are perfect (they are so flexible!) and the pay is great.
*crosses fingers*
Here's to life outside, and keeping the market skills sharp!
------------------------------------------
As for editing, I have signed up for two more MEP pieces that I am really quite looking forward to doing. Today was *cough* research *cough* in the morning, and I HAD to watch Princess Mononoke _again_. It's rough. XD Soon as I have that piece done, I can work more on the Fantastic Children piece. I want to "research" that as well, but 26 episodes will take more than a morning to review. I caught myself watching the series over again as I ripped the DVDs. Man, I love that show.
One other vid in the works, and I decided on CCS for the source. Probably just the movies will do, since it's one of those songs that has to be cut back a little for repetition's sake. Since it's a dance track, I figured that would be the best route to go.
