Sooooo giddy.
First off, congrats to Katie and Raven on their awards from AWA and Manifest, respectively! *yay!* I was so pleased to place second in comedy behind doki at Manifest. Looks like Mark had a great contest on his plate!
Today, I bought two, countem, TWO 8mm film projectors for $10/ea. Why so happy? Well, my Christmas presents this year will be transfered family movies from the old reels to DVD. I have everything I need now (except for the films, but I'm working on getting those), and it will be a nice present at a low cost. Gotta finish scanning those umpteen-bazillion slides too. >:S
If nothing else, they are in mint condition (all instructions and takeup reels too!), and I can e-bay them when I am done. Although, my neighbors want to pay me to transfer their movies as well. hmmmmm....
Time to edit? Probably not. But I DO want to have this dance vid ready for AUSA. So I have a couple of weeks left to squeak it out.
Working tomorrow, and the hubby back on Thursday. <3 This week is getting better and better!

I started my new job today, and have to say, it should be a load of fun. The people are great, and it's a nice small office. Much better than working for a big conglomerate somewhere in a cubicle I can call my own. (I'm envisioning the office gophers from Dilbert here.) Mostly I sat behind someone watching what they do so I can at least duplicate it, but get to be 'in the fray' as of Wednesday.
I'm also working on the finishing touches for a collaboration video I have been working on with Aria for the last couple of months. I kept dropping the ball, and she kept being patient. So it should be released sometime tonight or tomorrow morning. Anime is Mai HiME if anyone is interested. We were trying to use different editing genres than we are normally used to (she did the happy/carefree/feel-good and I did the darker more emo parts), and hopefully you will be able to tell which is which. I might have strayed a little bit... ^_^; Blame JudgeHolden. It was his idea.
Started my dance video as well. I have NO idea how it will turn out, or if it will ever be on the org, but I thought I would give it a shot. It will also be my first h.264 encoding attempt. Anime: Cardcaptor Sakura. Music: well, it's Motown... remixed. That's all I'm saying. I had to cut the music back from 6 minutes to 3, and I think the cuts work well.
If I had Judge's number, I would call at 2 or 3 in the morning. Much more obnoxious, I thinks. So it wasn't me.
I might call Raven though at a more reasonable hour to go over Oni plans. XD Can't wait! I can't get off work that Friday though... :'( Or Thurdsday... :'( :'( But Saturday... Yeah, I'm all over that. Now to decide if I'm gonna cosplay or not. I have my Halloween costume started, but I dunno how it would go over at the con. It's a minor character in Kingdom Hearts, but I would stick out like a sore thumb.
Well, back to trying to be a responsible adult.

Wednesday - arrrgh.
Loads to do today, but half can't be done until I receive a phone call back. I hate waiting!

It's Tuesday night! Know what that means?
Yesh. New Ouran episode. Woo hoo! I watch the raws when they come out, but it's nice to see how close I am on understanding the conversations when I watch the subs a couple of days later. I really hope this series makes it to DVD soon. Episodes 22 and 23 were the best (poor Casanova-kun!), and 24 focuses on Kyoua with some great moments. Love the tape on the TV.
One MEP down, two to go! And then there's this other thing I want to work on, but know that I won't be able to stop once I really get started on it. Maybe next week, when the hubby is out of town. XD My lonely nights are filled with anime. How sad is that?
Gotta catch up on xxxHolic too. And I also got the first 7 DVDs of Juuni Kokki. *squee!* I so love that series! Just need the last DVD of Samurai 7, and I will have another series binge night. *rubs hands together* Ah, my guilty little pleasures.
Ah, and the Valentine's MEP is on. I will be announcing in the forums sometime in October. Been working on the rules, etc. and fine tuning them. Keep an eye out for it!

Trying to get a beta rendered for the first time in a while. Whee!
My next editing task is to figure out h.264 compression. Luckily, I don't need to do that for a while, but I am looking forward to getting it figured out. I'm anticipating many bruises on my forehead from banging it against the keyboard in frustration.
And thankies, Josh! I didn't expect them all to be worthy, but it was a nice surprise this morning. :)
I start my new job this week, so hopefully I will be able to squeeze in some editing time (seeing as how I keep signing up for MEPS *looks at Josh, Yue and Moonie*) inbetween being a taxi and making Halloween costumes and all the other 'mom' stuff.
