I hate FTP.

It's done.
I actually like it.
My kids actually like it.
I really didn't think it would work, but I think I figured out a way to make Totoro a little scary. (I adore Totoro, mind you. That's what makes this sick and wrong.)
Now I have to make it up to them by finding a song that REALLY works for Totoro.
Time to pull out the Sesame Street mp3s... eek...

So much for Hurricane Rita! You come to appreciate a higher-tech hobby when you have no power or internet connection. So all you can do is dream up new ideas and scribble them down on paper.
Maybe it was the heat, but I think I have one of the weirdest ideas for a vid that I am going to put together in the next couple of days. I hadn't even seen the anime before, and sat down with my girls to watch it today.
I am sooooo stoked. My sister (who makes weird requests as it is) calls the idea "Sick and Wrong". I think that is what I will call it when I post it.
Hee hee hee....
I think my children will be scarred for life because of it. My husband rolled his eyes.

Instead of using IM to annoy the heck outta my sister in another time zone, I thought I would put this journal thingy to good use, and save her some sanity. So many rants about processors, software, video.... So little time...
I have SERIOUS newfound respect for those that do lip sync and cutouts. I have been working nearly nonstop for DAYS putting a video together with both of these elements for pretty much the first time. I am using Photoshop for the cutting (how many frames is too many...) and Premiere 6.5 to glue it all together. If I didn't have carpal tunnel before - I probably do now! Hee hee hee...
Enough with the complaining... I am actually having a BALL putting this together! I have been combining characters, and other silliness, and if nothing else, I have been amusing myself immensely. Just imagine Sakura from Naruto offering herself to Sesshoumaru in the forest... Or Miaka checking to see if Sesshoumaru is a man...
I'm doing this for the aforementioned sister, btw. She should be more tolerant of my random bursts on her Yahoo chat.

I am really looking forward to putting this online soon. Not only do I want my hard drive back, but I am really interested to see what people say about it. I have enjoyed the response, good and bad, and take all of the suggestions and comments to heart. Hopefully, I can get better at using this *#@^%$ program.... If I only had the $$ for AE! (You feel my pain, right?)
