I will AIM you in a little bit for ideas. I don't have a problem outputting, but my typical file size is huge when I do, then the compression comes into play. THAT'S when the swearing takes place. (I've been reading the guides, too...)

When I preview in Premiere, I actually go to the project settings and switch the general setting between DV (Pinnacle) and Windows to clean out the preview files on the fly. Again, rendering isn't the issue, but getting a good compression...

I feel your pain.
In fact, I have been messing with compression issues all day, and am about to toss the output avi into WMM and do the WMV conversion. Gonna try the avisynth/VirtualDubMod way AGAIN, and hopefully have the blasted thing up by midnight.
Sigh. I know that once I figure out a system, this will all go SO much better. It's the process of finding of the working system that sucks. -

Just got my Studio Ghibli collection DVDs and Fantastic Children DVDs in the mail.
Have a new video ready to upload.
Got some nice comments and ops.
