No, no. Nothing like that. There aren't five members in the Sanzo Party and I didn't want to throw in a random Hakuryuu, although originally I had planned too. This way, even if it only counts four, they each get an equal time of showing their faces. It went with the beat as well, which helped.

I didn't find the clips to be very random at all considering they matched when there were lyrics. For parts without lyrics I through in scenes that were amusing and/or energetic to maintain the rhythm and overall lively feel of the vid.
