In response to negative feedback on RENT!

First: If you don't like musicals, don't watch them. Problem solved.
Second: AIDS is very real and although it's mentioned more today, when RENT was first released it was during a time when homosexuality was still what people thought was the main cause of AIDS. AIDS is not a direct link of homosexuality.
Third: Not everyone in this movie has AIDS although many of them do. This is because the circle of friends the producer of the play chose to talk about have to deal with this. They live in New York, where GASP not everyone has AIDS. It is an issue which has a great impact on many, and if you consider the fact that many in the cast of the play have AIDS, it does not mean EVERYONE does.
Fourth: Only one character dies. This is part of reality. AIDS doesn't lead to death, it destroys your immune system, leaving you open to catching a cold and dying from it, for an example. It claims millions of lives and to show ONE death shouldn't be that surprising. This isn't Disney where people can come back to life through pixie dust or the tears of bad actors.
Fifth: It bothers me VERY much when people think that AIDS is the only thing in this play because it touches on other issues as well: Poverty, corruption among friendships/businesses/police, drug abuse, human rights, crime, relationships...
Finally, If someone says: Oh, it's just about AIDS and gay people, well they're missing the fact that although those issues are looked at, they are not the only thing to this.

I have no clue why people like I will come to you -Saiyuki so much. It's not one of my better vids in my opinion. Sure, it's decent... but I mean... woah. I'm really confused. My most recent vid is much better than it. ^^;
