Hey, Clara... I know exactly how you feel.
To have a pet so beloved in one instant and to lose it in the next creates a terrible rip in your heart which you feel you can never heal! When your soul seems split asunder by a great and sudden loss, it is always good to turn to friends and family, regardless of any fights.
I have had several of my cherished buddies pass away. They were pets, yes, but they knew me and I knew them. We had a mutual respect that involved tripping each other at the top of the stairs every morning.
I'd grown to hate that ritual so much that when it ended... I realized how grateful I was for each tumble.
My pets were my good friends and when they left me I felt terribly alone and embittered. How could they up and leave? How could they go away like that?
Thing is, life and death are a cycle. It comes for us all.
The best thing to do is to remember the good times you've spent with your pets and to not take them for granted while they're with you! Don't mourn. Be happy for the wonderful times you've had. -
