Really wanted to be in Chevelle, and I kinda got talked into Silverstein. lol. I'm glad I got at least one solo vid out this year. Because with the amount of MEPs I'm in right now, that might be it for this year. lol. Maybe I should just start putting out compilations of my MEP segments. So if anyone asks about my work, I can point them over to the MEP segment vids. B/c that seems to be all I do anymore. (My own fault, I know.) I was kinda in an odd, outspoken, rambly, opinionated, diarrhea of the fingers sort of mood yesterday. I think I may have stepped on a few toes. I'm really sorry to those I did. I didn't mean anything by it. My inner monologue seemed to have been broken. Abi seems to have found a way to get on top of the gazebo. It looked funny. So yeah, Saturday was my dance recital. Very informal. Which was good, because no one knew their dances, and I was only there for costume changes. So I was only doing songs I thought I remembered. Which was not always the case. But its done now. YAY!!!!

OOOO!!! So, as an early b-day present, Rafe got me a new computer chair from Ikea. (My old chair was old, crappy, falling apart, and most likely doing bad things to my back.) This one is so comfy and nice. It's one of the comfy black leather(ish) ones. (For those of you who are familiar with Ikea computer chairs.) I love this chair. I was going to get the really nice black leather poufy one like he has, but this one is very similar and the back is more upright where I'd normally sit anyway. So I got this one. *SQUEE!!!*

BANNERS!!!!!! Congrats to all winners so far. *^_^* Yeah, going through one of my slumps were I turn out nothing but crappy banners. (Or they're decent, but I have a streak of bad luck where either they're in a round of banners they totally clash, look weird, or look stylistically bad against, or they're just barely unworthy.) But that's ok. I'm getting back in the groove, I think my new batch is pretty good, and I always come out of these slumps just fine. But yeah. YAY!!!! FUN!!! *^_^*

I should get a grow light for my bamboo. I can never put it in a spot where I can get to it, the cats can't/dont, and it gets enough sun. I did have it in the sunroom, and it was doing great, then my parents locked the dog out there and penned him in the part where my bamboo was, so I had to leap over him to get to it. So then I put it on top of the cabinet in the sitting room, but it was too high up and in the wrong spot to really get any sun on anything but the roots. So now its in my room sitting on a bunch of tupperware drawers that's just barely not tall enough to get the sun it needs over the window sill. And that's the window I usually put my small fan in when its hot so I can get air in this part of the room. So when the fan's there, in addition to the sun not always making it over the window sill, it only gets what goes through the fan, which isn't much. And it would be ideal to stick the bamboo on the window sill next to the fan, but the window sill is just barely too small. :( I'm going to try to find something else to stack on the drawers to put it up higher and see if I can put the fan in another part of the window, but if that doesn't work. . .I don't know what to do. :'(

Cats. They're silly. Pepe has no front claws, so when he kneads when he's getting petted or trying to find a good spot to lay down, it's like getting a massage. Abi and Haagen really only knead when they're happy/content/etc. Abi has gotten the concept of he needs to watch his claws with the humans. Never dig claws deeply into bare skin and try to mind them with thin clothes. (Sometimes he'll still dig in, but he's getting better.) Haagen, on the other hand, has no concept of this. Of course, he's also new to the whole affection thing. (He's about 5 years old, apparently was feral when my mom got him as a kitten, and really didn't do petting, holding or sitting on laps until about a year and a half ago.) Sometimes, when he wants on a lap, instead of jumping, he'll dig his claws in and pull himself up. He will whole heartedly use his claws for balance and leverage when getting himself situated, and he will fully dig claws in when content with the petting/cuddling situation. Even if its in bare skin. Hopefully it will only take getting thrown off of laps a few more times before he gets the concept. Who knows. We no longer leave the screen door with the cat door open because Abi has taken to bringing "snacks" (usually in the form of a dead, dismembered chipmunk) in the house and stashing them under the couch.

Need to get the pieces for Rafe's Otakon costume so I can put the finishing touches on. (The stripes on the shirt sleeves, styling the wig. I don't have to worry about a wig, since I'm just getting my hair cut similarly to Mao. *^_^* But Rafe's in the Army, so he can't have Sousuke length hair. :P) I still need to order the dog tags, though. Or find a place that does them. I should do that soon. I think it looks like for next year, we'll probably be going as Boy and Girl Ranma. That should be fun and interesting. lol

Well, I got my Clow beta done. My card is "The Change" and I'm doing Saikano to the song "Change (In the House of Flies)" by Deftones. I didn't know whether to use the acoustic or the album version, so I did both. (Verse is the acoustic, refrain is the album.) Sounds fine in Premiere, but when I exported, the album version went all ear-bleeding crackly. Need to fix that. :P But I did have a beta. lol

Well, Rafe and I were talking about next year's cosplay. I was talking about making an Azumanga uniform just so I always have it as something to fall back on. Then he said we should go as a pair and cosplay the same anime. I was saying that the only main male character that I knew of in Azumanga was Mr. Kimera. Yeah, he seemed way to into that idea. I suggested he go as Kimera and I go as Osaka and we pretend we don't know each other. :P

Most of the new ones being submitted look kinda in the same style which would lead me to believe someone is either stupid or is a N00b who doesn't know that we're probably going to have a new logo before their banners even finish voting. Which means if any of them get worthy (which I'm doubting), they're probably going to be obsolete almost as soon as voting is done. Ergh. Whatever

Well, I finally did the bumper that I've been meaning to do for about 2 years. (Cute, goth anime looking chick with a laptop surrounded by CDs and DVDs with the intro to "Living Dead Girl" by Rob Zombie) I had done it once, but I had ArcSoft PhotoImpression then, not Photoshop. And the quality wasn't that good and the drawing I had done was kinda messed up. So I just went over and fixed the drawing in photoshop and redid it. Only For some reason, it's kinda stretched horizontally. Maybe its because I made the pic stuff 640x480 and it exported 720x480. I don't know. I'll have to look at it.
