I'm almost done editing the music break (not that hard since a good chunk of it was already done for the Dragonforce MEP. :P) And when I'm done with that, I'll be halfway done editing the song. >.> (Well, a little more than halfway, since I'm about halfway done the 1st verse as well.) Still, half the song is the music break. That just rocks. m/

Got a call from my friend, Katie, from HS. Haven't talked to her in forever. She's doing good. Her kid's almost 2. It seems like only yesterday that Katie gave me the news that she was pregnant.

Cats are annoying. So are neighbors. . .particularly the ones with puntable pooches. . .and equally loud and annoying kids/grandkids. At least I can take measures to ignore the neighbors. Kinda hard when the cats live here. But I still love them. *^_^* (I think. >.>)

I've been on an action editing kick. I pulled the last Dragonforce MEP segment out of my ass in a couple days. And it almost looks decent. Now, I'm suddenly inspired to edit the rest of the song (luckily its the shortest song on the CD). And if it turns out good, that's what I'll submit to Otakon. YAY! Masochism's so fun! *^_^*

Forbidden Kingdom FTW. Watch it! DEW IT! @_@ - Teehee! 2008-04-15 20:30:40 So I had remembered seeing a CD with Nirvana songs turned into lullabies. So today, I went looking online for it. (I had listened to 'Heart Shaped Box' and wanted to do a Pan's Labyrinth vid with it.) Turns out, they have them for a lot of other bands too. The series/collection/whatever is called Rockabye Baby. Its the songs, but done mostly with bells and synth to sound more "soathing" lol. Some of them are cool, some sound weird, and others are just plain creepy (Like 'Heart Shaped Box') So yeah. Great stuff. And Amazon had both the CDs and MP3 dls. So I dled Nirvana, NIN, and Metallica. I'm currently listening to 'Closer' as a lullaby. LMAO!! Funny stuff. Might use them in AMVs at some point. Just because. :P

Me: "You know, this would be a perfect opportunity to start and work on your Otakon vid."
Rafe: "Yeah, it would."
Me: "But you're not, are you?"
Rafe: "Nope."
*sigh* I might not be that far into mine, but I've at least done SOMETHING. Plus, I've been somewhat actively editing for the past year or two (even if it was mostly MEP segments.) He, on the other hand, hasn't really been very active. The only thing he's really edited in the past 4 years was his mecha-mania segment. I'm worried that he might not be able to finish in time. Or if he does manage to, it'll be kinda half-assed. His idea is too good and I don't want to see it half assed. While I seriously doubt that either of us will make finals, I want to at least feel like we BOTH have a fighting chance. *sigh* I guess I shouldn't worry too much. If he doesn't really care, neither should I. I should just worry about my own entry. (And since, as it turns out, we'll both be competing in the same category. . . ^_-)
Sometimes I hate being a girl. Particularly once a month. *groan* Supposed to go bowling today. Got postponed to tomorrow since I felt like poo. Hopefully I'll be ok tomorrow. But I have Ben & Jerry's 'Brownie Batter' ice cream in the fridge! *^_^* If I can get up to get it *groan* Of course, I can get it on the way to get more Motrin. -

Ripping and encoding the last disk I need for my Otakon vid. (I already had just about everything I needed already, but I still needed stuff from another disk to make it complete.) Next week, Rafe said he's going to be doing some power editing on his vid, so that means I can do some power editing too without worrying about being bothered or distracted. YAY!!!! *^_^*

So that Naraku figure I bought yesterday. I looked at the receipt, because stuff wasn't adding up to me. Turns out I got it for $5, not $8 like it was marked. (Which is down from the $13 it was originally priced at.) YAY!!! *^_^* So between that and the Death Note figure, I had to do some rearranging of figures in the apt. Rafe laughed at my growing "shrine". :P

I kinda cleaned up my desk area today! *gasp* Yeah, it was getting pretty bad. And Malcolm didn't help. He would keep climbing all over everything and made everything fall all over. Making the living room look like crap because he kept knocking everything all over and making it overflow out of my desk area. (My desk is in the corner of the living room.) So yeah, hopefully he won't mess it up now
