I'm not even 30, and I received an invitation to join AARP today. That's some fucked up shit. O.o
I'M NOT OLD DAMNIT!!!!!! #>_<# - *Rant on Otakon vid* 2008-06-02 01:14:49 So, I've never submitted to a con, but I wanted to submit a vid to Otakon, since I'll actually be there. Starting to wonder if its even worth it. I had gone through a lot of ideas before I finally settled on one a couple months ago. But then my bf goes and schedules a trip to TX in May. So that's 2 weeks of editing time right before the deadline gone. 2 weeks I apparently could have really used. So when I got back, I put on a pot of coffee (or several) and have more or less been doing nothing but edit. Now I'm absolutely exhausted, my apt is a disaster, my bf avoids me, Premiere suddenly decides it wants to crash on me all the time (it usually doesn't ever crash on me), and my cat just chewed through my headphone cord. (And that's the 3rd pair in about the past 4 months that I've gone through. The 2nd that was cat related.) I'm getting pretty close to done my vid, but I'm also pretty close to a mental breakdown. *sigh* I'm about to just give up. The vid probably wouldn't even make finals anyway. idk. Maybe I should drink more. :/

Happy Birfday Kikai!!! *^_^* I ish bad. I forgot, and have no time, so no sexy Birthday G.A.C.K. vid this year. I sowy. :'( But I hope you have a happy b-day anyway. *hugs* *^_^* And I might do a belated one anyway. ;)

So, got the cat tags in today. (I got kinda nice ones. 14k gold plated stars. They so pretty! *^_^*) So yeah, I had the collars already, but I was waiting to get the tags before I put them on the cats. Well, Pepe's done the whole collar thing before. I put it on him, and he was not too happy. I went to tighten it, and he freaked out. >.> But after that, he was fine and didn't think anything of it. Malcolm, seemed to know I was going to do something to him and was kicking and screaming as soon as I picked him up. He was also not happy when I put it on him. I picked him up again to tighten it (I seem to have a thing with putting cat collars on too loose.), and he was amazingly calm. I think he thought I was going to take it off him. (as opposed to Pepe, who has done this before and knows better. :P) Then, when I fixed it and let him down, then he started freaking out thinking a bad thing had him and kept trying to eat his tag. He's getting used to it, but still isn't completely ok yet.

My Otakon vid is making me giggle. I hope it makes others giggle too. >_< But I have the middle minute and a half more or less completely done, minus some tweaking. 2 minutes and 15 seconds left. *^_^* (Well, I have stuff in the 1st 35 seconds, but not completely done.) I hope I can get this more or less done by the end of the week before I go on vacation.

Still wondering about my b-day present. What I know so far:
-He got it from newegg.com
-It came in 3 boxes: 2 small ones and 1 bigger one, all from different warehouses
-They all go to 1 thing
-He said he might regret getting it for me
Current guesses:
-tablet (with a large active area)
-laptop
-something game related (like a DS, PSP, or something having to do with the Wii)
-digital camera/camcorder
I guess I'll find out in a month or so when my b-day hits. >.>

Going to TX to visit Rafe's family this weekend and I won't be back til the end of May. Which cuts it on my editing time. O.o So I'm trying to get my Otakon vid mostly done (or at least more or less beta ready. . .which is basically done for me. :P) before I leave. (Also need to finish sewing my friend's cloak before then, since she said she needs it for June.) So a lot to do this week. Plus exterminator's coming tomorrow and the service people are coming Thrusday. FUN! @.0 So sleep is going to suck on top of all that. I guess its a lot of coffee time for me. (Hopefully w/o harassing 8bit_samurai too much this time. ^_-)

-No. I don't even take myself seriously IRL. -_- On that same topic, I don't really take other people very seriously on the internet. That doesn't mean I can't get fired up over something internet related, or forget myself from time to time. But as a whole, I try to keep in mind the saying/poster "Arguing on the internet is like being in the Special Olympics. Even if you win, you're still retarded." :P

I need to figure out what I put in that marinade. A few weeks ago, I did chicken for chicken sandwiches. I had seasoned the chicken over night, and the next day, I took the seasoned juice from it, simmered it with some other stuff, and made an awesome marinade with it. (I was a little scared at first, because it tasted a little odd by itself, but after you put it on the chicken and cook it, it tastes great. Then put it on a sandwich with some honey mustard, and its awesome! *^_^*) I had a bunch of it left, so I've had it in a tupperware container (I couldn't find a jar.) So now I need to figure out what I did, so I can make more. And maybe get a jar, so I can put it in that. :P At any rate, at least I have some to put on the chicken now for sandwiched tomorrow. *^_^*

Pepe (my 16 lb cat) makes a disturbingly intimidating sumo wrestler. Though Malcolm (Rafe's 7 lb cat) makes an adorable ninja.
Yeah, I'm working on a comic right now. Me, Rafe, and our studio mascots are characters in it. Our cats, Pepe and Malcolm, also have minor roles. (In the beginning, when we're at home, they're like the Trigun cat. Always in the scene somewhere, but not usually a major part.) But after we leave, they carry on with antics in our absence. And there was going to be a part where they arre fighting, and Pepe will be dressed like a sumo-wrestler, and Malcolm will be dressed like a ninja. Mostly modeled after their real life fighting styles.
Lately, Pepe has been using the fact that he weighs significantly more than Malcolm to his advantage. Like getting him on the ground and flopping down on him, or sitting on his head, or walking on him. or putting his paw on his throat and putting his weight on it. (Once, Malcolm was on the ground and Pepe took a flying leap onto him. Malcolm put all his feet up like he was going to try and catch him and keep him off him. Poor thing. lol.) Malcolm, on the other hand, has the more ninja thing going on. Many times, he will try to use the element of surprise. Like jumping out from under a chair, around a corner, out from behind something, out of the shadows, onto him from above. Or just jumping him as soon as he gets out of the litter box. He's also very quick and agile on his feet (when he can stay on them. :P Though he can be pretty quick and slippery off them too) and can lay a pretty nasty punch, which I can sometimes hear from across the room. O.o
But yeah. Kitty drawings. This time, no packing peanuts. O.o (The one time they do play a major part when we're home, it involved getting an anime order in, and the cats decide to play in the box, throwing packing peanuts everywhere.) The cow will come later. (Which I won't explain now. :P)
