I finally watched what I submitted to Otakon. Yes, I turned in my vid without watching it first. (I mean, I did a quick test of it to make sure I had video and audio and that they both started at the same time and it wasn't so pixelated that I couldn't see the vid, but I didn't watch it beyond the 1st few seconds.) I was all out of time. . .and sanity for that matter. It would have been just another blow to watch the vid. (And regarding the whole late thing, I had pmed Vic Bond to let him know what was going on, though I probably should have emailed. But I was in a frenzy at the time and not thinking clearly. He read it, but didn't respond. So I'm going to take that as a good sign. . .since he didn't outright reply with no. But I guess I'll find out for sure at some point. *^_^*) Anyway, so I finally watched the thing. Well, that didn't go as badly as it could have. There was one clip in the beginning that I had rotated and used a garbage matte on that had weird edges. And a couple lip sync spots. And probably other stuff I can't remember that I didn't have time to fix. But yeah, I watched it, and there were some spots with bad pixelation. Luckily I used noise in a lot of the action, so there were probably more spots that just weren't noticable because of the effects. *Sigh* Not as bad as it could have been, but I doubt its making finals. Oh well. There's more con deadlines coming up. I can always finish fixing it up and submit to them. And I was wanting to submit it to yaoi-con (since it fits this year's theme. :P) But I guess I should find out relatively soon if it was dq'ed, and if it wasn't, I'll probably find out in July if miracles can happen. :P (And somewhere between now and August, depending on the outcome of everything, the vid should be on the org.)

Need to start me and Rafe's Otakon costumes. Luckily, we're going as the Ranmas, so they shouldn't be that hard.

Saw Kung Fu Panda. I had my doubts going in, but it was really cool/funny. It was like a Jack Black kung fu movie, only it was animated, with cute little (and not so little ;) ) critters. With an opening monologue that sounded like it should be the lyrics to a Tenacious D song. ("There is no charge for awesome. . .or attractive." :P) The ending fight was just great. Anyway. I was amused.

I sent Rafe to find me the full versions of the 2nd Death Note opening and closing, and what he found wound up being a Maximum The Hormone album. . . And its cool. *^_^* YAY!! Finding more bands!! :D

YAY! Oodles of anime coming my way in the next few weeks. I just got Disk 5 of Death Note. Plus I have all of Samurai Champloo on the way. Then Disk 2 of Lucky Star and the box set of Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya are coming out soon. (I have them on pre-order. :P) So yeah. YAY! ANIME!!! *^_^*

Only Premiere kept crashing when I was exporting. Then I tried to encode it in MPEG2 with Media Coder, but that kept crashing. So I finally gave up and encoded it in a high quality XVid with Virtual Dub. But even so, it might wind up being disqualified anyway, because it finished uploading almost an hour after the deadline. *sigh* Oh well. Like it matters anyway. I didn't get a chance to fix everything, so its not like its going to make finals anyway. Well, I think I'll rest now. Maybe later I'll finish fixing it so I can upload it to the org. -_-
- Come on coffee, give me strength! @_o 2008-06-07 17:28:42 Wading through my vid finishing up my tweaks. Just have 3 small parts of lip sync to fix, then tightening up the action on the music parts. (As well as making them a little bit more con friendly. . .like less BRIGHT blinky. But don't worry. To those of you who beta-ed and liked the bright blinkies, they'll be in for the org version. ;)) And if I have time, I might look into adding Katie's suggestion, since, the way I saw it, it wouldn't be too hard. Its mostly a matter of taking the time to find the right clips. Anyway, MORE COFFEEE!!!! (And Rafe said I get cheesecake when I finish. *^_^*)
- So tired 2008-06-06 04:54:22 Must finish vid. @_@ Well, at least I'm just in the tweaking phase. I got some good feedback. Apparently it doesn't phail as bad as I thought. (People actually *gasp* liked it. :O) But yeah, still needs some major tweaking. Luckily, the hardest part of the tweaking is fixing the lip sync. But luckily there's only a couple parts that are really so hideous that I HAVE to fix it. The other parts, while not perfect, I can still get away with. The main complaints, aside from that, that I got was that some of my effects got repetitive. Which is just a matter of changing directions around. After that, its just a couple minor timing issues and things that I want to do with it that don't HAVE to be done, but would make it look better. Anyway, I should sleep or something. One more day to get this thing out of my hair. :P
- YAY!!! 2008-06-04 12:38:31 Ok, Otakon vid more or less done and in beta-able form. Except that I hit some snags, am running behind schedule, and therefore don't have much time for beta-ing. >.> (I would need the feedback by tomorrow. But I have a couple people who said they could/would. *^_^*) Anyway, I'll probably stick it in my alerts anyway, in case someone has time. I've already found several things technically wrong with it though. Just too tired to fix them right now. (Haven't been to sleep yet. :S) Anyway, provided it doesn't look nearly as retarded as I think it does (something that always happens near the end of editing a vid), its just nitpicky stuff now. With 3 days to fix it. (Now if only my cat would leave me alone. O.o I'm about ready to take Autraya's advice and feed him to my bf.) Kaplah. Anyway. HALLELUJAH!!!! *^_^* Just had to get that out. :P
