- Revelation 2005-04-12 21:13:03 I've come to the conclusion that it doesn't mater how odd or random your video is or how much time or effort you put into it, it's all about the end product awesomeness. I put a lot of time and effort and thought into Full Metal Angst, but Shoot theKitties and reDemon were just for fun, random oddness, few hour videos, and they're doing almost the same as Full Metal Angst. I can't wait to get my new software so I can do all the cool effects I want to do. (Damn Windows Movie Maker!!!) And work on my computer so the visual quality will be better. Then even the random oddness videos will kick butt. But anyhow. Plah! Well, I think that's about the end of my moment of smartness. Later
- Oddness 2005-04-09 15:53:06 Ok, I expected FullMetal Angst to do somewhat decently for a 1st vid and for Shoot the Kitties to bomb. Well, FullMetal Angst is more or less where I thought it would be w/ a star rating of 3.29. I maybe expected slightly higher, but not much. That's still good for a 1st vid. I thought Shoot the Kitties would be in the 1 or 2 range, w/ it being so random and odd. Right now, it's sitting at a star rating of 3 w/ 20 votes. Interesting. Did 2 banner, but they're both pending approval. Have been for about a day or 2, but I went looking for answers in the forum, and there's one guy who's been waiting a week, so I guess a couple days isn't bad. Well, might be getting Adobe Premiere soon, so I think I'll hold my next video off until then. Probably that program will hafe the effects I want to do so I don't have to do them frame by frame in Photoshop. I guess that's about it. Later!
- 2005-04-07 06:12:11 Well, I can already tell my next video is going to take FOREVER! I know that's the way it should be if you want to make a decent video, but I don't have that kind of attention span. This is also going to take up oodles of room on my computer. I wanted to do a video w/ more effects in it, and well, I have Windows Movie maker, so unitl I get up the money for a good program, there's not much I can do effects wise. So i thought to myself, 'Why don't i take the frames over to photoshop, and do the effects I want frame by frame and bring them over to Movie maker?' So that's exactly what I'm doing. And It's taking forever! But hopefully, once this is all over, I will be rewarded w/ a really good video. But until then. . . UGH! Well, I guess that's about it. Later!
- New 2005-04-05 10:14:19 Well, just started the whole AMV thing. Kinda interesting. I find it amusing that my first attempt at a 4 min AMV that involves several types of software from start to finish went better than my first attempt at making a 100x100 pixel stil avatar w/ one type of software. Go figure. But that's just how i work. Well. Did my 1st vid, Full Metal Angst w/ FMA and Chevelle's The Red, and for a first vid, it actually went pretty well. Though I figured out that my computer's crappy video quality transferred over to my vid, which makes me upset. Have to see what I can do about that. Did my second vid, Shoot the Kitties, which is Hello Kitty to Korn's Shoots and Ladders. I came up w/ that concept @ about 3am at work, and worked on it while battling insomnia. W/ that one, i didn't really care what people thought. i was just having fun! It came out really random and trippy, though. I just put it on today, so only a few people have seen it so far. I'm not expecting it to get good reviews, but oh well. Have a few more ideas that i hope to be bringing to fruition soon. Guess that's about it. Later!
