- Randomness and stuff 2005-04-28 03:43:35 Well, taking a break from working on the Harry Potter video. it should be cool. (Not going on here, but if it turns out cool, which I think it will, I'm going to put it on my website.) I would have started it yesterday, but I accidentally saved over a VOB that I still needed to encode, So I ended up encoding Sorceror's Stone twice. (I'm doing the vid w/ all 3 movies) So I had to re encode Chamber of Secrets. But it's all good now. Rafe liked his sig. (YAY!!) Less than a month before I go see him and get Premiere. YAY!! Then hopefully I'll have quality vids up on here. ReDemon's been up for a few weeks and Don't be late sousuke! has been up for a few days, and it already has almost as many hits, more downloads and more stars than reDemon. (Slightly lower star score, but they're close.) Thought that was cool. Might attempt to finish that banner, but I doubt it. I think i might try to do my idea of doing a La Blue Girl action AMV. (Just taking the action scenes, not the nudity or sex scenes, so it's still a legal AMV) Haven't picked a song yet. But I have a bit to think about it. I think that's about it. Later!
- Finished new vid 2005-04-25 04:21:31 Well, I finished my FMP vid. I usually watch my vids again after a day or two of finishing them so that I have a period of not staring at them so i can see what they really look like from a viewer's standpoint. All I have to say is that is one weird video. Yes, let's put random inuendo/questionable situation clips in w/ some random action clips all together in a video and see how it does! The scary thing being, it somehow fits the song. But hey, that's System of a Down for you. One of these days, i would love to get really good w/ AMV's and be like the M Night Shyamalan of AMv's. Yes, they are completely bizarre and random, and 9 times out of 10, you have no clue what's going on, but they just kick so much butt you don't really care. But i have a LONG (and I mean LLLOOONNNGGGG) way to go before I get there. We're talking several years of practice along w/ a couple software/computer upgrades along the way. But I do plan on getting there. Now my b/f 9who is NOT an anime fan.) Wants me to do a video for him. He wants me to put Harry Potter to "I Stand Alone" by Godsmack. I guess that'll give me something to do until i get my software. Obviously, that one's not going on here, but I'll probably still stick it on my personal website. (Then at least I'm not doing crappy videos that i get drunk and stick on here. God knows we don't need any more crappy videos here, especially not mine!) Well, I got over my, i guess you could call it, post-AMV creation depression. (Sometimes, after I finish a video, I don't really want to do anything creative or artsy for a day or 2 afterwards.) Which wasn't good b/c Rafe asked me to do his sig, but didn't specify dimensions, so i made it the dimensions for the forum here, but when he got it, he said he wanted different dimensions that I couldn't just resize the other sig w/o having it look bad, so, I had to redo it completely. But he told me this the day I finished the video (which was a couple days ago.) He's been bitching at me the past couple days, but i finally finished it and sent it to him. So, I should know tomorrow if it's ok. Plah! I really don't think i'm going to finish that banner I started. The whole banner thing just kinda annoyed me. WEll, i think that's about it. later!
- Update 2005-04-22 02:52:48 only 5 people have used the song, and of that 5, only 3 vids are downloadable. None of them used Full Metal Panic. And nobody has done a strictly FMP video to anything by that band. (One person did a video w/ several animes, and FMP was one of them, but that's it.) So yeah!! Originality!! Anyway. Plah!
- Break 2005-04-22 02:44:52 UGH! I have a banner in the making, but i don't know if I'll ever finish it or submit it. The banner thing is really kinda driving me nuts, so i might just stop. I have a banner being voted on right now. I think it's cool, but I don't count on it being even close to being voted worthy. So I'm not going to harp on it. Looking at some of the ones that got voted worthy, i have no clue why none of mine have even been close, but oh well. I figured out why my videos have crappy video quality. I thought it was my computer or my video software, it turned out i had crappy encoding software. But, I got rid of that one and got a new one, so now it looks much better. (And hopefully it will stay looking much better. :P ) Working on another video. I know i said I wasn't doing anymore til i got my new software, but this was an idea I had come up w/ a while ago, and I figured I'd go ahead and do it b/c it's a short song and didn't require a lot of effects. So, I'm coming out w/ a Full Metal Panic video. Teehee!! Hopefully it won't suck. It's going to be of the weird random variety that I've been doing and seems to have become my style. I'm about halfway done. Should have it on in the next couple days. I'm just taking a break from it right now. I doubt anyone's put it to the song I used, but i'll probably check justto make sure. (I have this weird aversion to doing anime/song combos that have been done to death, or even done more than once or twice. I think it's either my need to be unique, or not wanting to be compared to anyone else. i don't know.) Well, i'm rambling, and i should get back to my video soon. Later!
- AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! 2005-04-20 21:57:08 WEll, I had one banner voted unworthy that i didn't really care about. But the one i had fallen in love w/ got voted unworthy. And w/ a lot less votes than the one i didn't care about!! That's just poopy! Oh well. I haven't had a worthy banner yet. Why should I expect to have one now. They're just something to pass the time until i get my new software next month. it would be nice to have at least one worthy banner, but they're not really my thing, so yeah! But my friend finally gave me the pics to do his sig, so that should keep me busy for a few minutes. Plah! WEll, i think that's enough complaining for now. Later!
