Well, I wish you luck with your bout of insanity. :S Well, luckily, I'm close to getting done what I need to get done (or at least done enough) As far as the costumes go, I just did simple sundresses for the little girls' class b/c that was all I had time to do, but now the concept of having someone to specifically do costumes and can work both with and without a pattern is starting to sink into my mom's head (It's her studio) She was starting to talk about next year and all the fancy, complex costumes she wants. I'm really glad I have a year to get all that done. Plus maybe getting some sewing done for myself. And now, she's realizing I also do graphics and AMVs (Which means video editing), so she's already had me design the recital staff shirts, and she's also trying to get me to edit/make/burn/etc the show DVD. FUN! And yes, time slowing down and/or making money rain from the sky would be very helpful. Time slowing down would be good for getting stuff done, but if it made money rain from the sky, then we could just hire an assistant to do everything we were tearing our hair out for. :D And on the topic of the name, yes, I was named for the flower. It's one of my mom's favorites. She just thought she'd be different and change the e to an i. Though I'm finding more and more people that not only have the same name as me, but have it spelled the same. So much for being original. lol. Oh well, it's a least less common than a lot of names. After HS, if I hear the song "Ceceilia" or "Karma Chameleon" again, I swear I will scream, then kick the person singing it. :P Particularly if they substitute my name anywhere in there. lol. Oh the fun of life! Well, I wish you luck with your project. May you still have your hair by the time it's done. (I would say sanity, but I have the feeling it's a little late for that) Well, have fun. . .or at least try.
- Beth 2006-06-09 16:41:27 Yeah, There's mint chocolate chip ice cream in the freezer and chocolate syrup in the fridge. I'm thinking about digging into that. This all wouldn't have been bad if all kinda of stuff hadn't been dumped on me at the last second. Eh, fmeh. Next year shouldn't be nearly as bad. I've been dubbed the official studio seamstress (which is what a lot of the stress was about) This dubbing happened at the last second for this year, so that didn't leave me much time to sew. Plus my mom waited until a couple weeks ago to order my skirt stuff. So I'm here the night before trying to finish it at least enough to wear it, plus doing alterations on the dresses I sewed. But now, I have my skirt that I have all year to finish, plus I have all year to work on costumes for next year. WEHOO!!! But yeah, from the sound of your journal, it sounded like you were having a hell of a time w/ that vid. At least that's over with now (is it?) But I'm practically counting the minutes til this is over. And then I get to go back to fun stuff, like AMVs and banners. WEHOO!!!!! But thank you again. And now, I think I will raid the ice cream, then get back to my insanity. Have fun!!!

- GOING TO KILL STUFF 2006-06-09 15:58:03 Ok, so my recital is tomorrow. I was looking forward to having the house to myself while everyone was at work so I can get all my last minute recital crap done and do my laundry and the usual stuff I do Friday, but my mom took off of work so she can get stuff done too. And so we keep runnning into each other trying to get stuff done, and then when I finally get settled and start doing something, she comes in and starts asking me 10 million questions. And then I go to take a break b/c I'm at my wit's end here, I take my cereal bowl to the kitchen only to find that the dog shit on the kitchen floor. (He's old and is starting to get incontinent) And my mom was on the phone blabbering about something, so I couldn't tell her. And I was in no mood to be cleanning it up. I probably would have thrown it at someone if I did. So I'll just let her find it and clean it up. I cleaned it up yesterday. I swear, we should just cover the house in newspaper or something. I've always been a cat person and never really wanted a dog. I just think they're too much work. People have been trying to turn me into a dog person. This is not helping their case. I've had problems with cats failing to use the litter box, hairballs, etc, and I'd rather clean up cat shit and hairballs than big piles of large dog shit. I will forever remain a cat person. And besides, all the characteristics of dogs that people bring up to try and change my mind, my cat currently has. (Fairly obedient, personable, playful, protective) Plus he takes care of himself like a cat. Why should I get a dog when I have a cat like that? (I know, he won't be around forever, but it's at least good for now) Rafe says he likes cats but eventually wants to get a dog. I've told him every time he brings it up, he wants a dog, he can take care of it himself. I will have nothing to do with it. Anyway, I'm just wound kinda tight right now. I can't wait until this shit is over with. (Mostly the recital, but the dog shitting in the house would be nice too) But I did a couple banners. Both FMA. Just waiting for them to be approved. Well, I think I'm done venting now.
