And I'm too tired to fiddle with it any more (or attempt to try out mp4.) So I'm going to bed. I'll play with it when I wake up and upload it then. -_-
- Watching stuff before you upload FTW. O.o 2008-08-19 02:15:58 I'm glad I watched my vid before uploading. It was all glitchy. :S I think I may know what the problem was. And I fixed it and am re-encoding. If that wasn't the problem, then I'll probably not be uploading it til tomorrow. But if that fixed it, it should be up in a couple hours. *^_^* Already got the video profile done. Still need to do my announcement poster and sig. Plah.
- Finally opened up my Otakon vid timeline 2008-08-18 03:24:42 Which I had been dreading. . .since the last time I closed it. (Otakon AMV contest deadline in June. :S) I had already decided I was going to release 2 versions, a regular one (More or less a fixed up version of what my beta testers saw, with the cool flashies in the music bridges) and the con version (What was shown at the con (duh!), with the more subdued flashy music bridges) Since I think I'm one of the only people in the Otakon contest who hasn't released my vid yet, I wanted to hurry up and get it out. But there was some issues (like with lip sync and stuff) that I needed to tighten up. Well, I fixed the one thing that was REALLY bothering me (garbage matte gone terribly wrong), and said screw it with the rest. So, I decided the con version will be exactly what was shown at the con, but with the fixed garbage matte problem and with end credits. That will be released tomorrow (today?) The other version, I'm going to fix up completely and release at my own leisure. So, if anyone's been waiting for it, A copy will be released soon. A good copy will be released whenever. I'm too tired to deal with exporting/encoding right now, so I think I'll go to bed and worry about when I wake up. (Or after bowling, if I don't get time when I wake up.)
- Awwww 2008-08-11 03:36:14 I seriously need to vacuum. I haven't done it for several weeks, and now I think my cat's allergies are coming back. :( Poor kitty. Well, I have bowling tomorrow (today?), but I was going to do some serious cleaning Tuesday. Hopefully he can survive til then. :( And now, back to smexy yaoi! *^_^*

YAY!! OTAKON-NESS!!!!! *^_^*

Otakon was this weekend. And it was teh awesome! *^_^* Wish I had gotten more sleep the week before (and Rafe was more of a night person) so that we could have done more (like go to Houlihan's after Iron Editor. :'( ), but it was still fun. Went to Pre-reg Thursday night, then went to dinner with Parodic Productions, NightMistress85, and a couple of her friends. That was fun. Friday, dealer's room fun, hung out w/ Parodic, and the AMV contest of course. *^_^* All of the vids were absolutely awesome! Need to go looking for them. (Needless to say, I did NOT win. Not even sure how my vid made it, but I'm still happy it did. And it did get some giggles. *^_^*) So yeah. Saturday, AMV panel/Iron Editor fun. Wanted to go out after that, but Rafe was about to fall over. (I was a little fried myself, though I could have survived ok. *^_^*) Today, we just did a last scouring of the dealer's room and left. Overall fun-ness! *^_^*
So yeah. Costumes looked great. (We were boy and girl Ranma) Well, maybe not great great, but still pretty cool. (Or at least good enough that we kept getting stopped every 2 seconds for pics. :P) So I'm proud of myself, that all my work and angst paid off.
Should be fixing up and releasing my contest vid this week sometime. Probably be releasing 2 versions: the con version, and a fixed up version of what my beta testers saw. (The difference: I toned down and did different effects for the music bridges for the con version to compensate for the dark room. That version looked kinda cool, but the super bright, colorful, blinky one I gave my beta testers was cool too. That and you can actually see and get the full effect of the "gay pride" explosion at the end, which you can't tell in the con version because that part is in black and white. :P)

A couple of funny moments:
-Someone came to Pre-reg dressed as Ryoga (complete with rucksack and umbrella). But he was behind Rafe and I. Later, after we got our badges, we headed across the street to find an ATM before dinner. Rafe went in and I stayed outside. Then Ryoga comes wandering down the street looking at a map. I wanted to call out to him not to get lost, but I didn't.
-So, Rafe, Parodic and I go to get our seats for the AMV contest. There's a Sephiroth sitting down the row a bit. All of a sudden, his cell goes off. Of course, his ringtone is the Final Fantasy victory music. He picks up, "Hi, mom."
-A couple of priceless pics. (Like going to get a pic of the Snap, Crackle, and Pop, who are running around with 'Rice Krispies' and 'Free Toy Inside' signs. Only, before I get my camera out, someone with a cat boy gets there, and asks if they can take a pic with cat-boy in the pic. And they give him the "Free Toy Inside" sign. *^_^* Or odd combos like Morrigan and Cpt. Jack Sparrow. or Miroku and Lucy.) But they will be posted soon.
Anyway, now Otakon is done, so now I can sleep. . .and work on MEP vids. . .and clean the apt. . .because it really needs it. . .@_@
On a completely unrelated note, for the second year in a row, I got the 1st worthy banner of the new logo. O.o
