And on the subject of anime clubs, my younger brother informed me that my old HS just started one. Makes me kinda sad we didn't have one when I was in, but then I think, that was before I was into anime, so would I have even joined? But then again, maybe some of my friends would have pressured me to join then I would have gotten into anime much sooner. I don't know. But due to my influence on my fottball playing brother who usually makes fun of people who watch anime, he mightbe joining next year. WEHOO!!!! go me!!

- Bueller? Bueller? Anyone? Bueller? 2006-07-25 02:25:22 Banners? Anyone? Banners? Been several days since they were approved. I wouldn't be quite as annoyed if I didn't have them stockpiled over here. Eh, whatever. Must be the curse of me turning out shitloads of banners. Anyway. So, thanks to my amv hobby, my mom is having me edit the recital tape and put it onto dvd. So today, I fianlly got around to taking everything off the camera and put it onto dvd so I can stick it in Premiere and edit it. Well, that was fun. We have a DVD recorder, and my step-dad has barely used it, so we weren't really sure what was going on, so it took a while to get it to record with the camera attached. Then I finally got the thing recorded, finalized it, then tried to play it back on the recorder. Got video but now sound. Though maybe something got unplugged, so I stuck the dvd into the regular dvd player. Wouldn't play. So I decided to bring it up to my comp since it may have been recorded into an off file type and my comp would be more likely to read something like that. It worked. So then I went to encode it. Went through and set all the settings and encoded the thing. Once it was done, I went to play it in WMP to make sure it came out ok. It was all skinny and squished. So I went through and played with the settings in Gordian Knot. Still skinny no matter what I did. So I stuck it in Premiere. Looked fine. Actually, it turned out it was still skinny, but only the proper amount of the vid was showing. Which is good because I will need that leeway on either side to try and compensate for my brother jiggling the camera. So, I went ahead and took out all the dead spots. Tomorrow, I'll actually start doing some real editing on it. (And work on my SOAD MEP vid. :P) Ripping Advent Children right now for my ongoing project AMV. FMEH!!! Got my hair cut too. Or rather trimmed. It was getting on my nerves. Anyway. Not much going on.
- Kaplah 2006-07-24 01:20:23 Hey Yeiweh!! Long time no see. *^_^* Haven't missed much. EEEK! I have green too!! Eh, whatever. Anyway. So I like to keep all my vobs when I rip stuff in case something happens and I need to re-encode. That way I don't have to rip again. Well, I had 3 seeasons of Ranma and all 4 HP movies ripped on my comp. Hadn't taken the VOBs off yet. And I wondered why it was running slow. I had 7Gb out of 160 left. Um yeah. So I had gotten all the Vobs from all the HP movies and a couple discs of Ranma so my comp would be nice and so I could put one of the Inuyasha movies on. Now I HAVE to rip FMA for the SOAD MEP (Plus my b/f is nagging me to do it. He has fansubs and therefore it would be easier to use my copy for AMVs, since it is the DVD and doesn't have hard subs) Plus I want to rip Advent Children for an idea I have that will probably take forever with all the effects I'm envisioning in it. But hey, it can be an ongoing project AMV. And I don't plan on stopping work on it until it is nothing less than fabulous, so maybe I'll see what con deadlines look like when I finish it and enter it in something. Who knows. And still no banners. Good thing I haven't done any new ones since I left MD. Fmeh! Anyway. I think that's about it.
- Back home 2006-07-23 00:56:38 YAY!! Though, once again, my b/f is asleep. I thought the girl was supposed to always be tired and the guy was supposed to be good to go even if they were tired. Anyhow, back home. Went to my cousin's b-day party. Did some editing on one of my SOAD vids, me, Rafe, my mom and my bro all played some game cube for a while. Now here I am. Still no banners approved. And all my cats expressing how much they missed me and not leaving me alone. Especially the cat that is usually anti-social. Which is odd. Though I'm really the only one he really goes to and jumps on. I guess I'm just special. Though my mom and I came up with a funny story with the cats where they're really here to save the planet from the evil woodland creatures who are really evil invaders from another planet, and I am the incarnation of the cats' great Food God. And the cats don't really like my bro and step-dad because they think they're working for the woodland animals. But yeah, my mom and I come up with the oddest ideas. Anyway. HELLO!!! *waves vilently* Hmm, now that I'm back in my own room, what do I do. Do more banners, even though I have a pile of them, do some editing, play a computer game, watch a movie, play a video game. So many options. though I should probably look for my back-up file from when I did graphics for a fan site. The site ended up going down and doesn't exsist any more. But now the webmistress wants to just make it a My Space page and would like to put the graphics back. Only she forgot to back them up before the site went down. So now I need to try and find my copies. Anyway. FWEEE!!!
