I come back and everyone's talking. . . about banners. Um yeah. Anyway. Yeah, I gave my rant about banner suicide.
"How to not commit banner suicide: If you use a slogan that is pretty common, ok, you can get away with it. But if you use one of the more original ones, people are going to think you copied. And if you use a pic that has already been used, you better make sure it [the banner itself around the pic/usage of said pic] is no where close to the original and really damn good. (like better than the original.) Ok, end that rant."
Suisei-Seki, I agree. I wish people would be more original with their banners and not copy others. I try to be as original as I can. If I copy anything from another banner creator, it's their style, effects and/or techniques. Not entire pics, slogans or exact ideas. Which is how it should be. Learn from the masters but don't try to pass their work off as your own. (Or if you're going to do that, which you shouldn't be doing, but IF, at least make it better!) It is kinda flattering that someone would copy, but it's a little annoying too. I had one of mine copied last night. I work hard to make sure at least my pic quality is as good and clear as it can possibly be on every banner, and that person had theirs as a kinda pixely gif. Needless to say, theirs wasn't worthy. But anyhow.
Ok. Now that's done. Um yeah. I think that's enough of a break from my vid. Going back now.

Probably staying up til 6 working on my new vid probably didn't help. That and either there's some really nasty pollen out or I'm getting sick. Had the runny nose thing starting up last night, which I thought was because I was tired. Today, I have a sore throat to go with it. Which may have something to do with the conditions of my room or something in the air that will go away, or I'm sick and this is only going to get worse before it gets better. But anyway, enough bitching. I have the intro to my vid almost all the way done. Then to the easier parts. . .the parts where he's singing and I don't need as many effects. (Because this is going to be a simple vid) Plah. Did a couple more banners too. Need the batch I have up to be approved first.
Cornwiggle-yes there are many copies going on. Yesterday, someone vaguely copied my blue angel banner (Which it was pretty funny, I put them in seperate windows to compare, and mine had a smaller file size but MUCH better pic quality.) Ben-You can copy gifs. Very easily actually. You just need to happen to have a certain program. But I'm not going to say which one or how to do it, b/c I don't want people to start doing it. - OOO!!!! Funny vid idea 2006-07-26 04:09:08 Just had an idea that I don't really plan on making very impressive, but really just something fun and easy so I can say "Yes, I finished a vid!. . .All by my self!" Hopefully I'll have it done and up within the next couple days. It will be a bishounen tribute to the Silver Haired Men of Advent Children using More Human Than Human by Rob Zombie. Yes, it will also be a mindless action vid, but only so that I can show them off better. ^_~ WEHOO!! YEAH!! So let's do this thing!!
