  • Parents own 2001-10-28 04:11:48 Not only did they get me

    A brand spaking new tv for my room
    A region free DVD player (Which matches my tv so thats cool)
    3 DVDs (Plus another 3 DVDs on their way thanks to a free offer)

    but now they just agreed to get all 3 DVDs of Key The Metal Idol for me.

    I SO wanted this series for a long time. I've seen a couple of pretty cool AMV's to it, so that's got me in the mood for it.

    Prolly my fav Key music vid would have to be
    Key - Queensryche - Screaming in Digital by Rubyeye

    Pretty sweet if you ask me. I've yet to see a better one.

    And for you ppl who like a good deal it was $125 Australian for all 3 DVDs. They were imported as well so I could have spent like 60-70 bucks on each DVD so I think I got a pretty sweet ass deal here.

    I had watched Nadesico a while back in rm format. The fansub was excellent

    The guy who wrote the translation for Nadesico needs to be shot.

    Fuck up the dub as much as you like, I'm not gonna watch it while I still breath (The guy who does Shinji is Tenkawa. Are they really that poor that they must use the same guy OVER and OVER again?! I mean at least make the guy use a different voice!!!), but you MUST leave the translation as pure as possible to the fansubbed original. Does anyone else agree with me?

  • Bday week Part 2. Leigh kicks ass 2001-10-26 04:11:25 Well rather than hang at home studying (AHAHAHAHAHA. I make a lot of good jokes these days) I went to Leighs to have a small mini-lan. Of 2 people :)

    He proved that theory again today by getting me volumes 1 + 2 of Nadesico.

    I tried not to eat him so much today in AVsP2 but its hard being this 1337. It really is...

    Then we played some CPS2 roms I downloaded last night for our gaming pleasure. Hours upon hours of nostalgic arcade game play brought back to life.

    For those that don't know what CPS2 is or stands for it is basically and arcade machine format. CPS2 stands for Capcom Play System 2 and is the '2nd generation' of motherboards developed for most capcom arcade machines. Up until recently it was impossible to emulate the board on a PC, but thanks to the deligent work of the people of CPS2shock.retrogames.com (HINT HINT) it is now possible to play all your old favs.

    Alien Vs Predator (The side scroller)
    The complete X:men, Capcom, Street Fighter series (X Vs Sf, X: COTA, SFA1, 2 + 3, and a range of the others)
    Darkstalkers
    etc
    etc

    The list goes on. Do yourself a favour. If you liked the arcade versions of these games you'll love the new emulated versions. Unlimited credits anyone?

    Join a fairly low ping server and wait till it loads
    So far. So good. It loads (I got the buggy first release and i had to update :( ) Start moving round. HEY! This isn't laggy at all! I move with no lag!

    Using my 1337 alien wall crawling skillz I weave my way over to my first unsuspecting victim. Deadmeat the Predator. Oh you are so gone!

    and about 6 dvds (None of em anime, but meh. DVDs are DVDs right?)

    Good and I haven't got to any of my relatives presents yet. I wonder what I'm gonna get. Hope its some money so I can buy plenty of DVDs >:)

    Also got to celebrate my birthday with 2 exams on the one day. Had to happen. It couldn't all be good news!
