...as I continue to drag myself through the infinite distance that is winter quarter at Rose-Hulman, I realize the irony of titling this journal entry with a basic concept of classical mechanics, and beginning the journal body with a physical impossibility. (You can't physically "drag yourself around").
Video progress: 150 frames. Lots of color correction. Lots of lipsync. Looks like crap, as usual. ARGH. Delete. Re-storyboard. (Rich)lather, rinse, repeat.
The storyboard document for this video is pretty much shredded. The concept and plot of the video has reinvented itself so many times in my mind now that it's just not worth the effort to write it down anymore.
On the neat side, though, I managed to back up all 32 gigabytes of VOBs, intermediate renders, reanimated frames, EDLs, sound files, and such onto my laptop, which means that there's a good chance I'll be able to get some work in during quarter break...I hope.

Fencing across campus this Saturday. That'll be great fun. Basically, what the Fencing club does is suit up, hand out the weaponry, and we just, well, start fencing across campus.
I'm a sword nut, and I don't know why. Maybe Freud would have an answer.
Anyway, I did fencing some years back, and only now have had the opportunity to pick up the art again. Quite a tremendously enjoyable experience.

It just keeps getting longer and longer; complexity geometrically increasing...
The directory for this video has also gotten larger and larger -- the size of the project directory has swelled to an obscene 32 gigabytes. Backing this up is quite a challenge.
And I'm only a minute into a four minute song!
