Mmmmm your are more than likely right .... I think of Codex as in a large book that gives you all the information that you need on a subject .... kinda like a rosetta stone ... But Codec is is the computer term for a rossetta stone for video's and such .... I think a computer nerd thought they were spelling codex and spelt it wrong ... lol So, that's why I mix them up ...... lol =)
