- Major MyVideo/QuickTime 6 Conflict 2002-08-22 22:41:59 I learned last night that QuickTime 6 is now available, and blindly rushed to load it. The result is that I now cannot access the video capture capabilities of MyVideo, which is what I rely on to get the images I need for video creation :-( Backtracking to QT5 and even QT4 has not worked, and Eskape Labs has not gotten back to me concerning my info querries. So it apears that I will be out of production for a while, even though I have some ideas I really wanted to start working on this weekend :-(

I tried checking a link on my Web site today... only to discover that my bandwidth for the day had been exceeded. Since the only thing I had done "to" the site recently was list it on here so that people could get more information on my videos, I came here... and was instantly stunned at just how many have gone from here to my site!!! That obviously explains the bandwidth problem...
...now I just need to find a solution. Now more than before, I am REALLY looking for a low-cost Webhosting possibility. If nothing else, I would really appreciate it if someone would be willing to host one or two of my videos on her or his site in a "guest" status for a short period of time. Any thoughts, suggestions, assistance, etc., would be greatly appreciated (FEATHER7@IX.NETCOM.COM). -

After several months of semi-furiously cranking out new videos during a bit of experimentation, I have finally listed the videos I have made to date. I am currently looking for a free or low-cost Web-hosting possibility so that I can post at least a few of my AMVs on the Web for everyone to see. If anyone is interested in possibly hosting one or more of my videos, please contact me at FEATHER7@IX.NETCOM.COM or at the snail-mail address below.
Most of my videos (MPEG-1 files) are 30-40MB in size (although some are over 70MB), so I need somewhat large server space as well as a sizeable bandwidth allocation to make it worth my time to post some videos to the Web. Should I find such an opportunity, I will post videos on a rotating basis, which I have seen at other AMV Web sites as well.
Currently, my Anime Music Videos are only available via pre-paid request. If interested, please observe the following
instructions:
1.I can distribute my AMVs via VHS (NTSC format), VCD (NTSC format), and CD-Rom (Mac-only or Mac/PC formats).
2.Interested persons must send a blank videotape or CD-R disc to me at the address below. Requests must also include a returnable mailer appropriate for the videotape or CD-R disc (I recently saw VHS and CD mailers available at Wal-Mart for about $1.70; office supply stores may charge a slightly lower price) and enough postage for the media to be sent back to the requester.
3.If sending a blank CD-R, please indicate a preference for either VCD or CD-Rom; if CD-Rom, please indicate Mac-only or Mac/PC format.
4.Note that if requesting CD-Rom format, you will be getting actual MPEG-1 files. Virtually any modern computer should include software which can read MPEG-1 files; if not, try opening the files in a Web browser and using its plug-ins to view the AMVs.
5.I strive to maintain a turnaround time of no more than twenty-four hours from the time a request (complying with the details above) arrives to the time I send the AMVs to the requester. I use a private shipping company for my mailing services, which is closed on Saturdays during the summer, and also for extened periods around major holidays; these should be the only delays in prompt devliery of the videos.

7.Under no circumstances are these videos to be used for the gain of profit, nor are they to be distributed by others with out permission.
