  • 2005-03-28 03:04:29 Few things, let's see..

My parents terminated telephone lines some weeks ago. Which means I won't be surfing the net very much from now on (although I frequent to the faculty's computer lab).

I'm having a flu since yesterday because of the season.

I might move to a new apartment this April.

I'll lend my PC to my uncle tonight, which means I won't be doing anything 'productive' for sometime.

Great stuff. Sadly I hardly understand most of these tutorials. I ought to read a book about the basics.
  • Yume 2005-03-17 03:14:04 I had a dream/nightmare last night. It was pretty scary, weird and amusing as well.

Some of my friends and I made an expedition to capture monsters on video. I mean REAL monsters. It was supposed to be one helluv an experience. I don't quite remember why but I thought it had to do with a group multimedia project. The monsters lived in a cave, and the area was unprotected (at that time I thought they could be harmless, like yeti.)

Actually we made 3 expeditions. The first one I went with my old friend redswing. We went into the cave. It was very dark and had an Indiana Jones feeling, so we brought a torch (I did wonder why we brought a fire torch when we could also had brought a flashlight). Anyway, sadly we never did find the monsters, so it was a failure.

The next week we went there a again with a couple more friends. We did find the monsters but, they also found us. There were a few of them and guess what? They looked a lot like those monkey-like creatures in DOOM-2 only a lot less pixelated, so in this part it was really scary. I really stiffed a few seconds. We had a bit of fighting (using torch, lol), although I was behing holding the camera. And then it turned out we did a lot of running. The monsters chased us even after we got outside the cave but luckily we ran much faster. Again, we failed because I totally forgot to capture.

Now the third time was totally weird. Carlos Corral (Machine) came along with me and redswing. And then I remembered he was part of our group. During this time only three of us were going. The rest were either scared or busy with their jobs so they couldn't come. But then I remembered it was Sunday. Anyway, so I met Carlos at his place that morning. He lived with a few bachelor guys in a small apartment (typical graduated student kind of life). His apartment building was weird though. It was next to a graveyard, so it had a kind of "Interview with the Vampire" setting (the scene after Brad Pitt got bit and woke up in the morning near some graveyard.) Even more weird was that I didn't even feel bothered by it. Anyway, I met Carlos and then we got into his old wagon parked near the graves in the very morning. And then we found out we were a bit short of $$$ to buy some batteries for the videocam (wha?) since we were all broke, but we still had to go there because the project dateline was very near. So we got back to his house, and carlos suggested we collect a few old TIME magazine, and after that we went out to a shopping mall along the way. We brought the mags and got into a huge bookstore. (I forgot what was the bookstore, but I'm certain it was neither Popular nor Kinokuniya nor MHI). I got in first and asked a bald 30yr old guy cashier/manager if we could trade the old mags for some cash. The manager declined and gave his reasons. And then it was Carlos turn to reason with the man. At that time I was shocked and amazed when I found out Carlos actually spoke in Malay (in Johor-slang, and very fluent at that O_O) when all the time before I talked to him in English. Somehow the the manager agreed to take the mags, so we were lucky. I approached Carlos and asked when did he learnt Malay, and then suddenly it turned out he wasn't Carlos, but his roommate a mamak (Indian-Malay) whose name escaped me right after he introduced himself. He said Carlos couldn't come because something came up. I thought, okay.

Anyway, we got some cash, but still a bit short. So I asked my friend dzul (who just happened to be relaxing in the bookstore) to let me borrow some of his rechargable batteries, and he gave me some "Kodak 120GB" branded AA rechargable batts he took out from his TV remote, which he happened to brought from his home. And then we were set and so I, redswing, and our friend the mamak guy walked out from the bookstore.

And then I woke up, it was already 2.00PM today!

    ---

Of a few other journals I read, I like reading Anime Jedi's the best. I'm happy your school life is fun. I miss my days back in matriculation. By now I should be having fun with dorm members 'learning' to play bowling at Terminal One Mall N9. Instead I stuck near my comp in my room helping out coding a immigrant workers mgmt system for some client. It's boring.
