The newly formed company (which name I've yet to know) that I'm applying intern pos. is actually a sub-division of CWorks Systems Bhd. (http://www.cworks.com.my) where redswing works.
As far as I know, the company plan is to obtain and manage all the assets of several clinics and govt. hospitals within the country. The position which they're offering to me is general IT worker whose responsibility includes maintining networks and PCs, as well as giving assist other members doing their projects (eg. programming, presentations, data entry etc.). That sounds like a lot of work!
Regardless that, I hope to be able to fit in with them nicely there.

Continuation from my older entry, dated 2005-09-01 12:21:06:
I gave redswing my CV about last week after he said he could help finding me an internship that would suit my area of expertise.
So, this day afternoon I received a reply from redswing saying that I got an interview offer of some new company in Selangor. I decided I could make it on Thursday onwards, but then we both agreed on Friday morning. Hopefully that'd give me more than enough time to prepare.
Now, the remaining issue is he didn't mention any specific detail about the company, nor the position which I'm getting. All I know is it's some sort of computer & maybe network admin. The latter isn't quite my field. Heck I don't even have the practical knowledge in net troubleshooting, but that doesn't bother me much. I'm just a little nervous since I can't do a proper research before the interview without some more detail (plus his assurance). The guy's phone has always given him problems (likewise, me =b) I couldn't reach him. But I'll try to contact him again tomorrow.
Oh yeah, remind myself to top-up the phone early tomorrow so I can SMS redswing before I call him. -

Yesterday I met my old friend Eddy whom we had lost contact since my phone broke after my motorcycle accident (that was 8 months ago). I rather glad he's doing fine these days. He's been working at Komag and was promoted to Master Technician after a year. He also got a fiancee now.
I heard good news about Komag Penang; like they give you salary twice every month (that saves you from geting too much cut for EPF/Employee Provident Fund). The base salary for beginner technician is about RM1280 (340USD) but that does not include overtime workshifts. Normal workshifts are 4-5 times a week and in every month there'll be an OT which must be attended and the payment will be 1.2x. Attending more OT shifts and the payment rate will increase to 2x. Therefore in a month one can easily acquire > RM2400 (638USD =). Their payments are never late unlike most other companies & govt. agencies, but then again, it's Komag - the biggest components supplier for Maxtor/WD & Seagate. - 2005-09-02 01:07:02 I had gone through halfway of Ys I. I felt like the game is somewhat really short. Half a day and I already reached the Darm's Tower to retrieve the remaining 3 of 6 Book of Ys. The game equipment & battle system is also ultrra-simplistic. But then I forgave because it's really just a remaster from a very old game for a very old computer. And thankfully, there's Ys II.

Some news since the previous entry:
- My old friend redswing phoned me about a work opportunity in KL and said he'd recommend me. So I mailed him my resume. He also said that he might come to (our) hometown mid September now that his little brother got an offer to study in UUM (Northern Malaysia University). Great news indeed. ^^
- Went to visit my grandmother this afternoon. Just spent time reading the novel.
- I bought a novel - "Anak Dara Menteri 3" ("Minister's Daughter") by Matt Romeo. It's a funny romantic comedy about a guy who keeps 2 girlfriends and now he's aiming for the minister's daughter.
- That holiday, Rizal and I went to Penang and we watched "Dark Water" sneak preview. It was none frightening, so-so movie.
- Malaysia Independence Day on 31st August.
- I went to meet my old uni friend rizal. His family's house just got 'upgraded'. It was worth RM25,000.
- My mother retired from teaching on 31st August. The day before, she got loads of presents from school; they were so massive, they had 2 cars to deliver them here at home 0_0. We had an open house the whole day & night, most of the teachers and staff from the school came to visit, while I went to sleep in my workroom (tired from cleaning the house & carrying presents lol).

I just got home. And tonight I'll be playing Ys I & II Complete PC game which I just got from saturn torrents. It's one of my most wanted title from Falcom but couldn't play then because it was only available in Japanese. But now I have to thank NightWolve from RIGG who headed the the game DeJap project and completed both the game English translations. Yay! ^__^
