  • 2007-02-08 10:09:09 Had a few of my passed videos critiqued and know where I'm going wrong now!

Gonna keep all effects completley "natural" looking to maintain the flow and only keep in things that work!

One of the main thingsI've picked up through just listening to people in the forum is that going over board with the fx can destroy a really good idea or even a good edit for that matter!

Gonna take this vid right back, I will still use effects but not to the same extent as I did in bleachmanganime, and really focus on the editing.

There is a local comp coming up where the dj will play afew amvs in a club nearby, (usually they just have their music but with anime on a screen in the background) so gonna enter it and see what happens!

Another thing seems to be quality of the end result, mostly my finished projects have been outta after effects and then for ease i just put them in wmm to get them small. guess what wmm is not just a crap non-linear editor but as we all know wmv are rubbish quality so this time I will encode in virtual dub to xvid I think! (sorry to those people that love wmm, its what I originally used when I started a few years ago so only speaking form my passed experience).
    Cheers

Had more or less given up and then got my first opinion a few days ago!!!

    Now I'm inspired!!!

Finally at the stage I feel I can make "The World we live in"

Gonna be based anime like Trigun, Serial experiments, Akira, FMA etc, will not just be a crap scene cut together thing but hopefully a cool montagy thing show casing anime as descriptive art!.....Yeh I know very pretentious!

Will use (if needed) Pro, Afters effects, virtual dub mod, audition, and audacity. It's what I used for my last two so know my way around them really well.

    Cheers.
