JOURNAL: RichLather (Jeff Tatarek)

  • Step by step, day by day. 2002-07-10 22:16:17 Akira VOBs are converted via DVD2AVI, now I need to get the courge/spare time to take them the next couple of steps before firing up Premiere.

I'm really starting to get into this, so it might not be as tough as I first imagined.

Also watching Princess Mononoke ("you haven't seen it yet?" you all say) and so far it r0xx0r5 my b0xx0rZ.
  • Well, it's been a while.... 2002-07-03 19:25:57 Good heavens, has it been over a month already? Time flies.

FINALLY trying to climb the learning curve that is 21st-century AMV production.

Ripped the Akira DVD this morning, now I need to convert it. For some reason I couldn't get DVD Decryptor to work, so I used Clad DVD XP, and that seemed to work fine.
  • I sense a great disturbance in the Force.... 2002-05-18 21:44:27 Man, I have GOT to see Attack of the Clones on Sunday, or I'm gonna have to withdraw from Internet society until I do.

I'm doing my damnedest to not be spoiled, which is odd because I couldn't get enough back info on The Phantom Menace.

  • Not much of anything; apropos of nothing 2002-05-16 21:02:08 Learning how to hike up the AMV homebrew editing curve is taking a backseat for the time being.

In two weeks I'll be attending the Shaker Village Civil War living history weekend as a Federal private, so that's where most of my energy is going.

For those who give a shit about history:

  • "Now witness the firepower of this fully armed and OPERATIONAL battle station!" 2002-05-07 21:02:09 Well, I couldn't think of a better quote to use, but if all goes the way I hope it will it will instead be a prophetic one.

Point: I've got about ten AMVs that I want to share with the community as a whole.

Point: None of them exist in a digital format.

Point: I do not own a capture card, and even if I could encode them, I have a woeful litle 56K connection. And even if I could upload them, I'd have no place to store them.

So, I'm asking for help. Can anyone make good-quality MPGs of my AMVs and send them to me on CD-R? Additionally, I'd sure like to get some help in hosting 'em. (EK, I've giving you the nod to encode the ones I gave you at ACen if you have the ability to do so)
