Wounds are all I'm made of
2002-08-17 23:19:16
It's official: 56K can eat the corn out of my waste.
I'm sick and tired of having downloads truncated by slow modem connections shutting down too early, or being trapped by the hosting site going down (I don't blame them, not my point) while my slow-as-Christmas upload gets caught in the middle.
But I curently have no recourse to get my videos up and distributed without the 56K connection, so I will continue to use.
But I will loathe it and curse it, telling it every chance I get that its days are numbered, that it is obsolete and glacial, that it will be replaced in due course without a shred of remorse.
I need a beer. I need to get -home- so I can upload the two videos which sit incomplete for everyone to see.

For great justice!

Re-uploaded Zenigata's Tribute this morning, as well as Send Maya My Love. I'll check to see they're ready for download, test them out, and make the announcement. Thus far, 90 downloads for the first two, and only one opinion apiece. You leeches, you!

"I have used up all my weapons and I'm helpless and bereaved."

Mneh. Turns out the upload for Zenigata's Tribute must've been terminated early, because about the -last twenty seconds- are missing form the videos.
Joy.
That means I get re-upload the entire stinking thing! That's a good four hours right there I could've used to upload something else.
At least the links are solid and people -are- able to download them. I've finally arrived.

"Did I hear you say that this is victory?"

Posted announcements for the first two AMVs to be uploaded, Zenigata's Tribute and Don't Crush That Bubblegum; Hand Me the Pliers.
If I read the table correctly, 13 people have attempted to download it in less than 30 minutes of making the initial announcement!
I feel like James Bond in The Spy Who Loved Me, in the control room of the Liparus, watching the missile tracking screen as the two submarine nukes are diverted from their original course. (geek=me)
