Back from Camping!

I spent a thursday and friday camping, which was very relaxing. We were at
the Oregon coast for about 20 minutues attempting to return to our
campsite with as much sand as possible. For those who have not had the
good fortune of visiting the Oregon coast it can be described pretty
easily: Impending fog + cold + lots of wind. It was nice to just sit around
with nothing planned at all. The most important occurence of the camping
trip... the non-occurence of poison oak! joy!
I am falling back into my editing mode as the AWA masters deadline is
very very very close (friday!). I will have my video ready to ship
hopefully monday. I am still deciding on what I would like to send to
the Exposition... Grand Theft Bebop would be fun, or maybe 'Day in the Life
of Roger Smith' ... regardless my Psychological Damage video will be
submitted. I guess maybe I should just send in those 3 and let
AWA decide. My hope is that due to its short length, Psychological Damage
and another video of mine can be shown... though I know they have a big
time crunch due to all the submissions.
Still in a daze from lack of normal sleep. (cold nights!) So actual
editing may wait until tomorrow... or I can just move the slider for an
hour trying to figure out what the noise coming out of my speakers is...

Video news: Clips cut, need to start throwing scenes at premiere.
Other News: To my complete surprise, I finally found a CD of old stuff
I have been looking for... now this is a special CD with my all mighty
.MOD collection. (you remember those old 4 track .voc file beasts!)
This is kind of special to me as the CD also has some of my creations on
it. Now I am the first to admit I am not a musical genius, but I had a lot
fun making them, and it's kind of cool to hear them all over (and realize
how bad some of my decisions at the time of creation were!)
I dunno if I really want anyone to ever hear these haha... maybe 1 or 2,
but they are not as cooool as the others I kept. (randomly found from BBS)

So yeah... I'd love to go... uhm say some prayers for me and I will show up
and give away free stuff! I think it would be great to meet other creators
and soak up all that the convention offers! But for now it doesn't look
like I am going. :( Regardless, I should have some videos going, so I guess
I will be there in spirit!

Poor Dell's at my work are suffering big time... 3 of them have 'suddenly'
had their hard drives fail. These are 3 different generations too...
(3 years old, 1 1/2, and less than 9 months) Though I was impressed with
Dell support, reasonable time on the phone... replacements came within
1 to 2 days... but that doesn't help when you work at a business and lose
20gb+ of data off of an employee's hard drive! (we backup so it's ok!)
On the video front I have a general plan for a new one, but still need
to pick the right song... among those I am considering... =)
Oh yeah... GTB (Grand Theft Bebop) has been downloaded more times in 7
days or so than a couple of my videos that have been out for months... :P
LOL... popular? or am I just tricking people into letting me borrow 50mb
of hard drive space? ;)

Ahhhh. My new video is complete and encoded... and ready for viewing.
GTA3 was a load of fun to work with... and well Bebop is always great
footage to use... dynamic and coool.
Dunno what to do with myself now... nothing to edit. :P
(not yet) LOL.
I am curious about how people react to the video not knowing 1 or both
sources (gta3 fans new to bebop or bebop fans new to gta3)... since I
enjoy both hehe.
expecting this response: "weird... it's just weird." hahaha
