Something touched me deep inside...The day the music died....

I've gotten the first minute completed in "God Love his Children". So far the video's been going pretty smooth, but I know it's going to get difficult once the guitars start kicking in.
I have one other project that may be started sometime inbetween "God..."'s production. I suddenly got the inspiration to do one last Bebop AMV. What song would I use? "American Pie" by Don Mclean. Yes, all 8:32 minutes of it. I listened to the song and I just realized how well it would match Cowboy Bebop. I don't know whether I will or will not start this project, but it's very high on my consideration list.

DON'T PUT MARBLES IN YOUR NOSE!!!!!!!!!

"God Loves His Children" is coming off very well. It has a very eerie and confusing feel to it, which is what I wanted it to have. It uses many scenes in the series that haven't been used in any Lain AMVs so far. And I've only finished the first 30 seconds of it.
"Here I Stand (Sad and Free)" should be up and running very soon. Kyle Asher, while having quite hosting videos, is still willing to host mine. He's such a nice guy ^_^. Thanks a lot Rehsa4!!!!!! I'm glad you like my videos.
I just saw two of the worst movies I've seen this year: Tomb Raider and Swordfish. God!!! Who can make this stuff and calls it good?!

Try to hold on...

I opened my wallet this morning and found 143 dallors in it! I can't even remember how I ended up with that much money. I guess I haven't really boughten anything expensive in a while. I also got a gift certificate for Suncoast video. I'll probably either buy Brother or Mezzo Forte with that.
I just saw Lord of the Rings:The Fellowship of the Ring today at the Cinerama(the best theater in the Northwest). I just have to say that I absolutely loved every minute of it. This is one of the best book-to-movie adaptations I've ever seen.It had magnificient photography, beautiful locations, amazing visual effects and a very cleaver casting to boot.
I aslo went and saw Guillermo del Toro's "The Devil's Backbone". This Spanish movie was more chilling than the Sixth Sense or The Others. The film started out as a horror story but then grew into more of a psychological thriller. Although being set during the Spanish Civil War,The movie is mostly about the brutality of human nature and how war can bring out the best and worst of people. It is clearly very accomplished - some of the heightened set-pieces, orchestrating sound, music, atmosphere, lighting and camera movements, are immensely powerful. There's one sequence at the end of the film that kinda resembles Lord of the Flies (but I won't tell you how. You'll have to see it for yourself).

I fear that I'm ordinary, just like everyone

I just finished and encoded my Tenchi Muyo video, and I'm very pleased with the final results. I'm also glad that I could finish this video before Christmas day.
During the video's production I was telling myself "What the hell am I doing?!" when I had about a minute done. I wasn't to sure of what to make of it after the first minute, but I kept on editing. The finished product is rather good and a nice followup to "There Will Be an Answer". This video has little to no action in it and the song is slow, but the editing I've done is nearly flawless( it's not perfect; I don't think that's even possible).
"There Will Be an Anwser" was the turning point for me and my AMVs. The videos that came before it were just below average to mediocre level. "Answer.." was the work I could actually be proud of making.
From this point on I'm going to try and keep churning out videos that are to the level of quality "There Will Be an Answer" or better.
In term's of editing, I'd have to say that "Here I Stand(Sad and Free)" is slightly better in editing quality. Though there aren't as many cuts, the video has a better flow to it. Plus, it's consistant.
I hope to have this new video up soon. Probably in a week or so, is the best estimate I can give at the moment.
My next project will be Radiohead's "Paranoid Android" set to Serial Experiments Lain. I know that this will be a challenge for me since the song is nearly 7 minutes long(longer than any other song I have used to date). I plan on not cutting the song because I believe that that would take away from the experience. I'd only cut a song if a certain part of it ran on to long, and in the case of "Paranoid Android", it doesn't have one.

Destoy the mind, destroy the body... but you cannot destroy the heart

I've been just breezing through my Tenchi Muyo video. It should be finished within a week or so. I'm over 3:30 into the 4:34 minute song. I've gotten past most of the difficult parts. The song kinds fades out from the point where I am now.
From now on, I'm not going to give away my video ideas. I think it's best to have the element of surprise over people about what I'm going to do next. As for the ideas I've posted up already, those are videos that I may or may not do. There are no definate answers to what I'm going to do next. It really just depends on what I feel like doing at the moment I complete my current project.
