JOURNAL: BigshotSpike (Jordan Peters)

  • Fuck the Internet! Fuck it in the ear! 2002-01-20 03:13:59 My "new" computer is working pretty good. I just have to get the DVD player working and I'll be set. I can't believe I have so much space at my fingertips (over 180 gigs). Yes!! I'm just feeling great right now.
Now I have hardly any limits to how much footage I can store on the hard drive.

I also just bought a manga-styled comic called "Blue Monday" by Chynna Clugston-Major. It's really awesome. I haven't seen characters with such humorously foul mouths since South Park. I also love how she integrated the music scene into the pages of the book. For certain pages there would be a note at the top/bottom with a song that would go well with the scene. I tried out some of the songs and they fit really nicely. The characters are interesting, funny, and have heart. If I were whoever reads this journal entry, I wouldn't miss this.

  • It wears me out....It wears me out 2002-01-13 23:50:51 My computer's being upgraded with 512 megs of ram, 160 gigs of hard drive space, and Windows XP which will hopefully make AMV creation smoother. It may take about a week though since I've run into some problems installing and putting in some the new things. I also had to buy a new modem (50 bucks down the drain, but thankfully my dad paid for it). This whole installation process may take up to a week since it really isn't working how it;s supposed to. You probably won't see as much of me for a while since I'm having my computer upgraded (I'm using my dad's laptop to type this up).
Hopefully everything will turn out for the better when it;s finished. I really wanted to work on my Lain video over the weekend, but I never got the chance.

Oh well, I'll just use one of my school's computers for the next week.

  • I used to be a little boy, so old in my shoes 2002-01-11 12:35:58 I just got a copy of a live recorded bootleg of Zwan's performance at the Roxy (Billy Corgan's new group). I really like the group, infact I absolutely love them. They're sound is a little similar to the Pumpkins but more upbeat and punkish. I can't think of a single song by them that I didn't enjoy listening to. I wish I knew the names of the songs. Hopefully Zwan will release their CD sometime soon. Zwan is now my new favorite band.
I should mention that during the show Billy Corgan does a cover of DMX's "Who We Be" commenting "I hate rap music, but I like that song".

I'm going to be starting a manga or a series of drawings out of a project I call "White Wallpaper". It's kind of a high school based drama/comedy/romance type of thing. Kinda like Boys Be.

  • Too young to die. Too rich to care. Too fucked to swear I was there. 2002-01-09 00:30:27 Well, I'm back in school. The only class I'm having trouble with is Algebra 2 (honors). I always have a problem with these formulas my teacher gave us to follow by. No matter how many time he demonstrates it, I still can't figure it out. Oh well, I'll just talk with him tomorrow during Tutorial. The chapter we're on, chapter 5, is the longest chapter I've seen in the book. And now we're having a test next Monday! Gahhh!!!
I'm just overloaded with fustration right now. I keep on telling myself to just talk to the teacher tomorrow.

I think I'll go rake my Zen garden right now...
  • Pop tart, Can you envision, A free world, Of clear division 2002-01-07 00:34:06 Alright, I finally figured out how to see the "Untitled" video on the Smashing Pumpkins greatest hits DVD. You go to the Extras section and then press left on your remote. I watched the entire thing today and was unbelievably impressed with the production qualities of these music videos. I think "Stand Inside Your Love" is their greatest video, next to "1979" and "Tonight, Tonight"(of course). I also watched the short film "Try". Shit man! if you're thinking about doing drugs and such, watch this short movie and it will steer you away from them for good.

Today was my birthday. I just turned 15. I went out to dinner with some of my friends to this Japanese resturant. It was really cool 'cause the cooking was done like on Iron Chef. We all sat at one large table while the chef cooked all of the food in front of us. It was really cool watchin' him juggle around with the vegetables and cooking tools.
