Today is gonna be the day that they throw it all back to you

I love the song that has the lyrics above ("Wonderwall" by Oasis). I feel that everytime I listen to that song I want to grab someone and hug'em. Yes, it's *that* warm of a song.
Anyway, I apologize for my sudden outburst on my last journal entry. I was just really surprised at the time and was just using my journal as a vent.
I have over 4 minutes completed in my "Memorial" video. I've been just pouring myself into this video everyday. I will probably have the next two minutes and 30 seconds completed over the next two weeks, but I can't make any guarentees. It's been getting more difficult as I've gone on in it's production.
I find myself being the best at making dramatic/serious videos. It's probably what I'll be doing in most of my future videos. I've always wanted to make someone cry with one of my videos (I made my sister cry during my "Let It Be" video, and I cried after I finished my Tenchi Forever AMV). What I really need to use a really sad anime(though Jin-Roh, Cowboy Bebop, and Tenchi Forever are sad animes). I need to use something like the Kenshin OVAs or Grave of the Fireflies to really jerk some tears.

Alright, I'm pissed with the results of the nominees of the Viewer's Choice Awards. Everybody on this site are a bunch of shallow fools. I can't believe that my video, "There Will Be an Answer", was not nominated for best dramatic video. This is a bunch of total bull shit! That video is one of the most dramatic videos ever. Hey, I hope you don't mind but I actually like my own work. I hate that everyone has to be so hard on themselves all of the time when judging their own stuff. Give yourself a fucking break!!! Is there something wrong with liking the shit you make!? Since when are real artists people who hate their own work?! I myself am critical of my own stuff, but I don't freakin' hate it!
Most of my favorite creators didn't get any of their videos nominated either. Where's more of Machine's stuff, Gambitt's "Numb", Fluxmeister, ShonenDizzyCow (where the fuck is EvangelionOpus!!!!????), and Yakumo!?Were they not popular enough for you!? >:( Fuck!, no offense BBT, but isn't anyone sick of "Failed Experiments..." yet! "Odorikuruu" is getting fucking annoying as well. Yet these videos are both nominated for 6 awards. What da fuck is up w'dat!?!?

I want you to know....I'm not coming back....

It's been a little while since I've written in my journal so I thought I'd update it really quickly.
Since my Lain video was lost, I've decided to start on an entirely new project that uses one of my all time favorite animes and bands. I've decided to use Pink Floyd's "Comfortably Numb" set to Katsuhiro Otomo's "Memories". This will be a long and difficult project since the song lasts up to about 6 minutes and 30 seconds. I plan on not cutting the song because I have no real reason to do it. The song doesn't get repetitive or dull and I'm not one to tamper with a classic Floyd tune.
I have the first 2 minutes completed so far. My new computer is hella fast and I'm amble to put videos together a lot quicker than I used to. I should have the video completed by the Middle of February or the end depending on how much free time I get.
Hopefully I'll be able to have this one shown at Sakuracon.
I went and saw Metropolis 2 days ago. It was just an incredible looking film. I'm going to have to see it a few times more just to pick out some of the graphical details I've missed. The art and design of this film is so incredible that I was surprised it could even be done with human hands. It's not a wonder why this film took 5 years to make. Even though this film feels really *huge* with it's swooming camera work and large backrounds, it pays extra attention to all of it's little details. The story was also quite interesting. It started out kinda simple but it kept on gaining new twists and turns that kept me interested. Since this was a Rin Taro film, the character development could have been better. But compared to X, this film's characters are a large improvement from the 2D cutouts of the X movie. I was also quite satisfied with it's happy ending, even though it left a couple of things unexplained.
Overall I'd give Metropolis a B+. I'm definately getting the DVD once it comes out in March.

I should warn you, I go to Sleep. I know you don't....know...what I Mean

I just got everything installed in my "new" computer. The only problem I'm having is with my PC-DVD player. It turns out that the DVD decoder I needed to play DVDs was lost during the installation of my new drive and Windows XP.
I have even worse news...My Lain video in progress, "God Loves His Children", got completely lost during this process. None of it works anymore. For some reason though, I'm not that upset about it. The video's progress was going as slow as hell and I had absolutely no ambition to complete it. It was just kinda sitting there on my hard drive for weeks without anything getting done. AMVs are supposed to fun (most of the time), but this one was not. Even though I was about 2.5 minutes through the 6.5 minute song, I felt so tired of working on it that I thought about deleting it on my own will.
So yeah....
However, over the past week I've been working on a secret project which I have not told anyone about. I will not reveal it to the public until it's fully completed. The video isn't really anything original, but the execution of it is really what makes it stand out.

I'm just...Uptight....Uptight

I just went and saw Black Hawk Down. I must say that this is one of the best war films I've ever seen. What I really liked about it was the fact that it didn't contain any cliches' that are often found in recent war movies. It stuck straight to the plot and action, and it never lots itself. There were also no slow parts. Once the characters all get introduced, they go into fight and do so for about 2 hours of the movie. It was a harsh film though. One guy gets literally ripped to shredds from an RPG. I won't say anything else about it (I'm sure lots haven't seen it yet), I just highly reccomend this movie. It shows a realistic view of what going to battle is like.
I just bought the NIN CD "The Fragile". It's really good...as all NIN records are. What I particularly like about the album is how most of the song flow into each other to give you the sense that you aren't listening to seperate tracks but one continuous song.
