- Back on Track 2007-03-04 22:06:20 Hi everyone. Its me again. After a long delay in production I've made new progress and am currently halfway finished with my latest amv, a crossover between my two favorite vampire anime: Vampire Hunter D and Hellsing. Awesome, no da? I'm also working on remaking a couple of my videos from last year, as well as begin work on some new ideas for this year. Hopefully I'll be able to keep up with myself.

Delay in Production

There will be a slight delay in production this week. After spending a couple days last week ripping the dvds needed for my next two amvs (which was a lot of ripping, btw) I began work on my next vid by processing the vob files with avi synth through virtual dub. Alas, I only got half-way through that process and still have more to go before I have very good clips to use. Unfortunately my dad's maternal grandmother passed away this passed weekend and so I'll be away from my computer for about a week while I visit with my family up in Wisconsin. Gah, its been a pain so far trying to keep up in college and a bit of a pain trying to make sure I'll be okay during the two days I'll miss my classes. Oh well.
Anyway I'll most likely have the clips all done before I leave on wednesday. Don't hold me to it, but if I do that means I'll be ready to begin putting video to music when I return next monday. I hope everyone likes HELLSING ULTIMATE. Its SOOOO much better than the original Hellsing anime. In this one they finally spell and pronounce Alucard's name right. It's Alucard, people, not Arucard! That and the animation quality is extremely better and more gorey. Looks the same as the original, only ten times better. - "Cloud of Sadness (v.2)", now available in the handy (smaller) download size! 2007-01-27 14:39:14 After successfully completing and re-compressing "Fatal Fuel S&M" I decided to re-compress "Cloud of Sadness (v.2)" in the same way and miraculously I got it even smaller than before! I'm really starting to love VirtualDub. So I figured out how to compress the audio when I re-compressed "Fatal Fuel S&M" using VDub and that's how I got it so small. Upon noticing the extra 30MB decrease I decided to try the same exact audio compression method on "Cloud of Sadness (v.2)" and to my amazement I reduced the size by 40MB! Its still 720x400, so don't worry! ^^ I'm happy to say that making AMVs using Adobe Premiere Elements 3.0 is only going to get better for me. Stick around, I've got more great amvs on the way!!!

First of the Year (Hopefully Not the Last)

Well, I have finally finished my first amv of the year. All that's left is compressing it into a small enough size for internet distribution. Most likely it'll be as big in size as "Cloud of Sadness (V.2)".
So what is my newest amv? "Fatal Fuel S&M"
If you decide its worth checking out please read up on the comments I posted on its info page. But if you'd like to know, as you can tell I remade "Fatal Fuel" but this time I used the S&M version of the song "Fuel" by Metallica. But I didn't do the original video scene-by-scene with better video quality and sound, I redid the timing and even added new scenes and got rid of others. I feel this version is a great improvement over the original. I do hope there are others who will agree, but I expect some will not. In any case, if you take the time to download and watch my amv once its available, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it.
Reminiscing is fun...
