  • Long time no see 2007-10-16 22:16:36 Hey everyone, its me, back from the dead...? Not really, but I'm back nonetheless (again!). This time I've got a new video and another right on the way. Updated my website, and added a guestbook, so take a look and visit my website - animeAJ.com

    Not much else going on except I spend most of my time promoting my site (and two other websites) through my MySpace.com account while I work a dead-end job. Hoping to get a couple of other amvs finished by November.

    (btw, isn't is bullcrap that Geneon ended its sales and distribution?! Now how will I get Trigun Remix on dvd?!) 
  • More remakes to come... 2007-07-03 23:18:06 Hey everyone. The totally insane craziness that is me, animeAJ, is back once again! I have finally finished another amv, thus ending my hiatus and catapulting me back into the AMV scene (I hope) ^_^;

    So my latest amv [remake] is "Pretty Fly, Golden Boy", a new and better version of my 2005 amv "Pretty Fly Goldenboy". Better video, better sound, better timing, cute lip sync. Check it out!

    I got a couple new ideas that I'll be working on next, but stay turned for another Golden Boy amv remake within a week or two. Remaking some of my best/fave 2005 AMVs is helping me get back into my groove and I hope will allow me to have the mojo to create new stuff.


    Also, on a side note, Michael Bay's "Transformers" kicks ass!!! 
  • I Have Returned! 2007-06-22 17:50:48 animeAJ.com is up and running again! Yay! Updates are on the way and hopefully a new amv will be done before the end of the month. Check it out! 
  • New Vid, Still on Hiatus 2007-04-15 22:24:33 Well, I'm still on Hiatus, even though I did release a new remade amv. I've got a lot of things going on IRL, and since my website is down for the time being, I'm stepping back from a full-on production schedule that I had set up earlier this year. Kinda urks me, but I'll manage. I hope to be back on track once summer rolls around. I'm moving out of state so that's my third reason. Work, Website, and my Move.

    One thing that's bothering me lately. Apparently my newest remake didn't get the kinda turn-out I was expecting. Reasonable. Not all my amvs get high scores. But I really didn't make this any different than the way I make most of my vids. Except for the fact that I'm using APE3 and not WMM, and AMVapp. My style hasn't changed either.

    A Home of Our Own (Rebuilt) has better video and audio quality. It was made with APE3. Whereas, A Home of Our Own (the original) was made using WMM, which ruined the vid quality and didn't really make the sound all that great. I did the remake almost like the original but I added more scenes and deleted others.

    My only question now is: Why is the original have a better star rating than the remake? The Remake has more than half as many downloads, and half as many stars, yet its got a dramatic below-average star rating. I was at least expecting it to be a bit more than 3.30 if not a 4.00

    Well, I've had trouble with my amvs in the past, back when I started here, and I've continued to have problems. If its not one thing its another. ((I also would like to know how my vid, "Blood of Choice" is considered any better? I really didn't spend much time working on that one. Tasteful, in my own ability, but I think I could've done more with it. Good thing I intend to make two spin-offs from it ^_^)) 
  • Site Down - On Hiatus 2007-04-01 23:23:21 Well, something seems to be in error with the bill for my website. The hosting service I paid for back in 2004, which I was specifically told was to be paid in advance, is now saying I owe them money for my two years I signed up for. But I know I paid the money, done electronically, and I noted the deduction from my account back in January 2005.

    Anyway, animeAJ.com is down for a while. Then again, it may not return. AMVs are still my hobby but my website dream project may finally end with this. It was sure as hell fun while it lasted. But don't bet your bottom dollar just yet.

    Speaking of my AMVs I will continue to make them available here at AMV.org but I am on a hiatus from making any. Funds are short, time available to make them is few and far between, so I don't know when my latest production will be done or when I'll release another new vid. Things just won't be working out until May comes around. Later!
