  • 12 Days of Christmas 2005-12-01 14:10:01 On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me... a partridge in an AMV!

Okay, that was just for shits and giggles. It is now December and Christmas is just around the corner, boys and girls. I wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season. Hope all your AMV wishes come true! Lol. XD

I'm still working on my Trigun/Vash AMV and expect it to be completed sometime this month. Maybe just in time for Christmas? Dunno. My website is getting more updates and as of now you can find all my vids here at AMV.org and at my site, AnimeAJ.com

Other than that, there's not much going on. I'll keep you all posted on the latest events as they unfold...
  • Hot for Ms. Kazami! 2005-11-20 22:28:28 Well, good evening AMV enthusiasts one and all! I have once again finished another amv. Though I finally started work on my Trigun/Vash Tribute amv, I ended up working on a different project: my Onegai Teacher amv. Titled "Hot For Sensei" its put to the wonderful rock-n-roll music of Van Halen. I chose their song "Hot For Teacher" because that is also the title of the first volume of the U.S. dvd release of Onegai Teacher. I wonder anyone will notice that before reading the amv info? If not then its not big deal. This vid includes a few scenes of lip sync with Hyosuke singing the song. But the vid is mainly about how Kei Kusanagi, a high school student, and Mizuho Kazami, his teacher, get together and fall in love. Which is something that is controversial here in the United States and in Japan. So anyway, I hope everyone enjoys this latest installment of the insanity that is me, Anime_AJ.
  • 4.0 2005-11-16 21:07:54 Well, for the first time ever since joining AMV.org, one of my videos has received a 4.0 Star Avg. That's like, one grade away from being considered a really great vid! And so far, this vid's avg rating hasn't gone below that score! I'm sorry if I seem to be bragging, but its just a total honor (and way cool) to have one of my vids given such good ratings. Still wondering what amv of mine I'm talking about? None other than "Pretty Fly Goldenboy"!

Of course, sadly, after uploading "Fatal Fuel" to the Org it has only received an average Star rating of 2.5, which is the lowest average rating I've gotten so far. I'm a little bummed about it, but I have high hopes that the vid will catch on and the rating will go up once and after more people download it.

  • Slam in the back of my... Evandragula! 2005-11-09 22:48:35 I'd just like to announce that on October 31, 2005, I published my latest AMV to the web, and the Org! I'd like to introduce everyone to "Evandragula REVISITED"! Its a remake, not really, but its not the same vid. What I did was I went back to the drawing board with my original Evangelion/Rob Zombie amv idea and did what I thought could not be done. Okay, to better explain what I'm talking about I'll start with the beginning.

Back in January of this year, shortly after creating "Blu Mondei" and "Kickstart My Heart" I came up with my very first Evangelion amv. I decided to use Rob Zombie as my muse and well, the best song I could think of was Dragula. That's how I came up with the catchy title. But the only problem I saw at the time was the amount of video I wanted to use compared to the short length of the song. To create the amv I wanted to show the world I sacrificed the original Dragula for the Dragula Remix (aka "Dragula: Hot Rod Herman Remix"). This song had the desired length to suit the amount of video I had chosen. And since there were a few "Dragula Remix" amvs to other anime I had seen, I thought this would be my chance to create a more suitable vid to this very good version of Rob Zombie's most popular hit. It was after I released the "widescreen format" version of Evandragula that I rethought my original idea of the vid. After much imagination and months of amv-making I decided to make an Evandragula vid using the orignal version of Dragula. So what I did was I decided to make it more of sequal/synopse of my first version. Thus the addition of "REVISITED" to the title. I started off with same clips and scenes from Evandragula for the basis of the new vid. Then I added a bunch of Evangelion source video I hadn't yet used and put them in, and added special effects to the original clips that were used in the previous version. Which is why some scenes have the "old age" and "grayscale" effect to them. Those were scenes from the very first Evandragula! And that's it. Its merely a remake of my original idea, but its a different video since I used new clips and added effects and used an different version of the same song.

(If you pay attention to both vids, you'll notice that Shinji has more scenes in "...REVISITED" while Asuka has the spotlight in the original "Evandragula")
  • There Was An Error - Sorry For The Delay 2005-10-08 17:01:20 Dear Friends and AMV-Lovers,

Just earlier this week I was preparing to upload "Pretty Fly Goldenboy" onto the Org, when I noticed something with the final draft of the vid. I double-checked this error through my video source and the process by which my WMM save the move file and discovered that not only had I made the AMV in the wrong format but my video source for some of my clips didn't look good. Looked all choppy and pixel-like. So I have to re-rip the original video from the DVD and reload it into WMM, then I'll have to save the movie one more time (under a different format style) and hopefully the vid will look the same the whole way through. I'm so glad I caught this before sending the AMV through.

(Apparently I didn't view the final draft after I finished it and didn't bother to look at it until I was going to download it. What caught my attention about it was the fact that the video file size was larger than most of my previous amvs when completed.)
