  • REMEMBER 4/25 2006-04-26 20:15:46 I would assume everyone at AMV.org knows or has heard of Paypal.com? They're partnered with eBay.com to help both buyers and sellers by providing quick and easy online payments with your credit card and/or bank account information. And they can even transfer and deposit money from your Paypal account to your credit card(s) and/or bank account(s). I've been using their service since 2003, when I got my own computer and my own credit card and started buying stuff off the net (i.e. Sundevildvd.com, Suncoast.com, FYE.com, etc.)

    Well on April 24, 2006 a third party attempted to access my Paypal account for a third time and succeeded. They changed my security questions and password and then proceeded to buy a product from an online service. Luckily, I found out about this and filed a spoof claim with Paypal.com and I got my money back. And the company that was involved was helpful and considerate with the matter. I found out it was someone in Florida that made the purchase with funds from my bank account which he accessed through Paypal. And then he took $185 later that day! Unfortunately, and it was probably someone who attempted to get into my Paypal account one of the first two times got a hold of my credit card and/or bank account info and proceeded to withdraw funds from my name three different times on April 21, 2006. This person I believe to be from somewhere in Italy, since that's where the funds were being sent.

    I had a lot of money, especially after depositing my tax refund, and now i'm negative $500. That's almost $1000! I knew something was wrong when I tried using my debit card on the 25th of April and it got declined at two different stores. I thought the first time it was just a fluke. Their machine must not be working or my magnetic strip is wearing down. The second time I knew something was wrong, since I received two emails the night before saying someone hacked my Paypal account, changed my password, and bought something with MY money! I rushed my bank and so it'll be 90 days before I know if the money that was stolen is returned. In the meantime, my bank will give me Provincial Credit. Hopefully. Meaning that the money that was taken will be returned to me from an account my bank owns. Then they'll got after the money that was taken and put that into their account, making everything the way it was before.

    But really, I was so scared and quite shook up. I called in a "sick day" cause I couldn't even go to work. My mind was reeling and my stomach was in knots from the whole ordeal. Its a frightening experience when someone can just access your life and take everything away from you without any remorse or thought to your well-being. Its sickening. Just sickening. I've had my wallet stolen, though I couldn't prove that so I claimed it as lost, but this is by far much worse. Thankfully, things are straightening out and hopefully this whole matter will blow over and when the dust settles I'll be better off because I've been somewhere and I'll be able to prevent this from happening again.

    When I'm able to I intend to close my Paypal.com account as well as my bank account. I'll open a new checking account and get a new ATM card. And if I ever decide to buy something online, I'll be more careful. I think I'll look into Privacy software and a more advanced Firewall too.
  • Back by Popular Demand! 2006-03-20 15:15:47 Okay, here's what's up everyone: "Trigun Rhapsody" is 75% complete. I just need to add the climactic scenes and the ending before I review it all and perform editing which in turn will result in the final product. In other news: "Feel So FLCL" was completed ahead of schedule and became my first amv of 2006, instead of "Trigun Rhapsody" which I had promised to do first. The reason why this happened was because I got fan-mail from people who wanted to see my next FLCL amv right away. Being such a fan of FLCL as everyone else I felt obliged to give them what they wanted. I'll be posting the final product this week.
  • And The Beat Goes On 2006-03-09 03:38:16 Here's some news for ya folks:

    First off, I've recently updated my website. Yeah... check it out! Also, I just received an email with detailed info on the release of another new anime: Boys Be...

    Yeah, that's right. The hit manga "Boys Be..." has been made into an anime and volume 1 and the volume 1 plus series artbox set are now available for purchase. Go forth my minions and spend thy money.

    Also, I begun to teach myself how to draw manga... of course, not without any material(s) to study such techniques. I hope to someday create a manga based on one of my stories... if not partner up with someone who can draw better than me. ^^;

    That's it for now.
  • Sad But True 2006-02-20 16:16:55 Well, with my want & desire to put one of my amvs into an amv contest I have come across the fact that most Cons and Contests won't accept .wmv format. Total bull! I can't believe this crap. I may be able to send at least one vid to a contest, but I may or may not do so. Recently, I have looked into getting new software for making amvs. This is'll cost about $50 or more, not including S/h. I also need a second hard drive, so I'll have room for all my dvds I intend to rip and for those I have on my computer. This will take a paycheck, or two, to come up with the money for that. Also, after recently rediscovering MegaTokyo.com, I have decided to look into other endeavors, but I won't deviate from my amv website. My plan is to teach myself to draw manga, like I've always wanted to do since high school. Oh well, no better time to do something than the present. ^^

    One more thing, until I get something better than WMM I won't be making any new vids. Thus I may or may not complete "Trigun Rhapsody" this month, or even at all. Also, once I do have new software, I do intend to go back and remake my best amvs from 2005, but only after I do a couple of new vids for 2006. So until my return, keep it real my amv bretheren, and keep on keeping on. I'll still be around, but I may or may not have any new amvs. And hopefully, if I can save up enough money for the costs of such a trip, maybe I'll see some of you guys at an anime convention this year. My current plan is to attend Anime North 2006, but that's in Canada and I'm in Iowa... Anyway, later y'all!
  • Still Here 2006-02-13 02:27:32 Okay, so its been a while since I last made an entry. Gomen nasai! Anyway, I've been real busy with work lately and I'm trying my hardest to finish my big Trigun AMV, "Trigun Rhapsody" (and don't even think of stealing this idea!). So far so good, I'm close to completing the vid but it'll require a lot of editing to get the synchronization just right. More info on my Trigun amv after it premieres.

    Just for the hell of it, here's what's coming up next month:
    "Feel So FLCL" (my third, and hopefully last FLCL amv)

    Also, as a sidenote, whoever it was that posted the QC on 2/12/2006 @ 21:10:35 for my second Video Girl Ai amv, "When You're Near", I'd really like to know what in the world they were talking about. There IS NO FF8 scenes in that vid whatsoever! Good grief.
