The Blue Screen of Death!
2006-07-24 02:08:27
[From the Laptop of "animeAJ"]
So, one day I'm sitting at my desktop using Yahoo! Messenger and Internet Explorer when suddenly my computer freezes on me. 'Okay,' I think too myself, 'I'll just Ctrl-Alt-Delete and click End Now to cancel out of the frozen programs.' Nope. Didn't work. I waited about a couple more minutes and nothing happened. So I manually shut down my computer and just reboot it. Normally that fixes the problem. Nothing has ever happened before and caused the same reaction. Well when I started up my desktop it began to load up the OS (WinXP) and then suddenly it stops and a blue screen appears on my monitor. I was like, "Oh Shit!"
Yep, for the first time in my life using any version of Windows 9x or higher I've finally gotten the infamous Blue Screen of Death.
So I'm trying to save up some money to have my HDD backed up or if I'm lucky one of my friends will have enough space inside their computer for a second hard drive. So in the meantime all of my AMV productions will be put on hold until further notice. I hope it won't be very long cause I'm very fond of all the things I've saved on my desktop for the last two years. And I happen to have nearly finished my next vid and its still on my blasted desktop....

Change is Good

Well, first let me start by saying that I finished another AMV (six days ago) and its available here and at my website. Second, I'd like to announce some upcoming new amvs in the next two months.
Just recently I saw an amv with adult content. Very graphic. I also thought it was very funny. I decided that after watching this vid I would go ahead and create my own adult amv but its not a funny one. Expect a very adult, very graphic amv this or next month, to the WordsWorth series. ^^
Also, I decided to can my second Broly amv. I can't finish it and I don't think it's necessary. It'll just take too much time to do when I got other plans in progress.
Remember my Trigun amv? Yeah, I'm still working on it.
And here's the line up for the rest of the year:
- Onegai Twins, and maybe another Ongegai Teacher amv
- Naruto (about 2 or three NEW amvs)
- Fullmetal Alchemist (plans still on the drawing board)
- Remakes of a few older amvs, expect the first to be of "Evandragula"
So that's about it. Things are changing. As is my technique and style. I will continue to retain my simplicity in the way I make my amvs, but the video size will now be larger to maintain the original video quality. And that's why I'll be doing a few remakes of my 2005 AMV lineup later in the year. Until next time!

And Here It Is...
2006-05-27 01:29:40
"Don't Say Goodbye (Stay Forever)" has been completed and uploaded today. Its my first OMG!/Ah! My Goddess amv. Look at my previous journal entry, or read the amv's info, for the song and artist I chose for the video. I hope everyone enjoys my latest amv! ^^
So what's next you ask? Well, I'll be going back to see if I can do anything about finishing up "Trigun Rhapsody", but other than that I'll heading to the drawing board to plan my next amv which will be put to Onegai Twins! Also, as a heads up, I'd like to just say that I intend to redo/remake my Evandragula amvs!

What's Next?
2006-05-16 01:38:06
Here's what's next on my amv production list:
My first "Oh My Goddess!" amv; Don't Say Goodbye (working title), to High Enough by Damn Yankees.
Originally, when I first came to AMV.org I was hesitant about putting out any info regarding what amvs I was making. And if I did it was usually right before I finished the vid and uploaded it for its premiere. But recently, after taking in the forums I had a chance to freshen up my knowledge of the rules. So to prevent another unfortunate event that may keep me from making a previously intended amv I've decided to announce what project(s) I'm working on as I go. This way no one can say I stole their idea, though no one here owns any copyrights to any anime whatsoever. Hell, we're all breaking said copyrights. Lol. But we all knew that from the start.
Anyway, expect to see "Don't Say Goodbye" before the end of the month. ^^

Of AMVs & ATVs...
2006-05-04 16:11:02
First of all, I'd like to announce the premiere of my latest vid: "Return of the Golden One". Its Golden Boy meets Kung Pow: Enter The Fist! And I've dubbed it as an ATV. ATV? What's that you ask? Well, like AMV is an acronym for Anime Music Videos, ATV is the same for Anime Trailer Videos. We've seen many, though there are few in existence, we know of them and that they are out there. For some of us, they were the first kind of quote, unquote AMVs. But these aren't anime music videos. They're anime put to movie trailers. I've never heard or seen anyone put a name to them so I guess I'm the first. If not, then oh well, its like I'm trying to claim a copyright or anything. But still, "Return of the Golden One" is my very first anime trailer video. I don't have any great software to digitally alter and/or edit the footage, nor did I want. I did this for fun and to see how good I could do one for the first time. This is a first for me and a very new concept. After seeing a few of this particular kind of fan-made video I decided to give it a try myself. I'm tempted to do another ATV, but its so hard to put a movie trailer to an anime and make them work.
Anime Music Videos have a huge fanbase, and maybe in time ATVs will grow in popularity and production. Who knows? Maybe there'll be an website dedicated solely to ATVs as there is for AMVs. Hmm... "Animetrailervideos.org". Interesting. Hey, it could happen...
