JOURNAL: kthulhu (Mark H.)

  • 2003-06-15 01:08:36 A story:

So I go to California, see UncleMilo
    I walk up to him
    punch him in the face
    as he gets back up
    I punch him again
He's like "Jesus Unitarian Christ, what's your problem?"
    I say "Dunno. Oppression."

Maybe not proper, since he's been better lately. It made Danny laugh at least.

Anyhow, two days into my layoff, and I'm already bored (as the story above shows). Maybe things will pick up later.

Anyone got a use for a pound of strawberries?

  • GOURANGA! 2003-06-04 22:40:15 Looks like I'm getting laid off next week (seasonal slowdown), which very likely means unemployment and a free summer. WOOT!, if so.

On the flipside of the good side, I missed the entry point for going to Job Corps :( . I have to wait for them to get ANOTHER class together, which could be nine months - or longer. Fine by me, I suppose. At least I now know what's what.
  • Ugh, what is Milo's trip, trying to pull a Michael Moore and make up shit?... 2003-05-27 01:43:43 Yes, more UncleMilo bitching, but only because there is so much to bitch about:

Quote: "The assholes have lost their siege on Michael Moore's website.

They have been disposed like the trash they are."

What siege? If the site was under a denial-of-service attack, that's a siege. When a 1337 mofo gets in and changes the front page, that's called a victory. Disposed of? No, just cleaned up after.

The big question? If this wasn't the website of some left-wing sheep's icon that had been hacked, would Milo care?

Quote: "It is very easy to assassinate someone's character by trying to change the meaning of someone's words to make it seem like something else.
There are some people on this board here who have tried to make arguments against me, but they're views are just as laughable because they aren't even paying attention to the things I am writing. I read some of their replies to my messages and I'm like
"What words of the English language do these people not understand?"
Their inability to even grasp what I'm talking about makes their arguments against me ludicrous."

Some good old-fashioned UncleMilo ego tripping right there. Once again, he's all like "MEH" and we're like a lower "MEH" (insert Cartman hand gestures as needed) in his eyes.

Anyhow, one, there's no changing of meaning or definition going on anywhere on the forum. People do pay attention to the things he writes, dismiss it or say they don't care, and then Milo throws A FUCKING HISSYFIT because they aren't conforming to his way of thinking. Some great tolerance you got going on there, Milo.

    Quote: "For example...

Person A says something offensive in connection with a movie or series"

Most likely he is referring to the occasional "Grave Of The Fireflies" flamefests that roll around on occasion.

Quote: "I complain about Person A's attitude and about the offensive thing said"

His annoying far-left political correctness cop mode kicks in. Basically, UncleMilo is a big believer in "thought crime". If something falls out of the politically correct/party goosestep, then woe be upon it.

Quote: "Person B accuses me of saying that everyone has to love the movie or series that Person A was talking about when making the offensive remark."

No, Person A through Z accuse you of being intolerant. Don't cry when you watch "Grave Of The Fireflies"? Something is just WRONG with you, according to UncleMilo's standards (which, of course, are the only standards that count)! You're brainwashed, you're shallow, you're desensitized, you're nowhere near as enlightened as UncleMilo! It's not that he says people have to love it - it's that he tells them HOW they have to love it. One's a semi-fanatical opinion, the other is thought policing of the highest level. Telling people what their emotions should be.

    Plain disgusting.

Quote: "I say that this was never what I said and go into lengthy detail explaining my points I made about Person A and try to figure out what the hell is wrong with Person B that they can't even grasp simple sentences."

No, more like he writes about how he's so right, his way of thinking is so right, and how everyone who doesn't lockstep into Milo's way is bad and wrong. More elitism, but what do we expect otherwise? Maybe Milo doesn't realize that most people can detect the condescension and arrogance that his posts are laden (tainted?) with.

Quote: "Person B says I am an arrogant, stuck up egotist with a sense of superiority that makes me an offense to all around."

I think he's talking about me ;) . Yes, the truth sure hurts, doesn't it, Milo? If you got out of your pathetic five year old mode of thinking more often, that you're "SPECIAL"

Quote: "I finally reach the conclusion that compared to people who can't even read the language of their own nation, that I guess I am superior... because I can read."

Sigh.......Jesus Christ. He just reeks of spoiled pseudo-intellectualism and self-indulgence, doesn't he? I don't want to know what his parents did to make him this full of himself. Plenty of us can read - read so well in fact, that, as mentioned earlier, we can see the disgusting ego trip included in most every Milo post.

Quote: "I have no reason to even bother defending myself against person B, because person B has shown themselves to have no credibility nor carry any weight in made up points based on nothing other than some twisted logic containined within Person B's mind. And even if Person B has friends who come out of the woodwork to back up the nonsense that Person B has spouted... I still won't be swayed by people who clearly can't even grasp simple concepts."

Simple concepts such as: open-mindedness, tolerance, respect, humility, and patience? Hmm, I think the majority of the people here can grasp these VERY well. Milo, on the other hand, seems sadly lacking.

Quote: "To use a very cliche statement... just because Person B and all his friends decide to jump off a bridge, that's no reason I should."

Ummmmmmmmm.......it's people like UncleMilo that expect the rest of us to jump off HIS bridge. Not the other way around. If we have our own independent thoughts, or contest Milo's statements, well, that's just bad, in his opinion.

Quote: "Person A and B can badmouth me all they want.

Assholes can block off Michael Moore's website...

However... there are enough people who have a countering view to the ignorance of Persons A, B and the other assholes who would rather just attack rather than actually use their brains."

Did Milo even read the sites linked to? Or did he fear to *gasp* use his brain and maybe read something that might challenge his views? Somehow, I'm doubting it. One of the sites linked to, when the hack was still up, was a site that previously Milo said he could prove the points made on it wrong. He didn't do so that time, when asked to do so, and he didn't do it this time. Yes, some thinking sure is going on there! Or does he expect the rest of us to just swallow his worms like fish, without checking for the hook? I suspect the latter.

Quote: "See... if I think something... and someone else can give me credible evidence to prove my point is wrong... or if I happen to discover evidence that proves me wrong... then I will take this new information and use it to help form a new view and readjust my views based on the new information. If the people are without any credible support or are untrustworthy, then I will maintain the views I have until something with more merit comes along."

Ahh, so other people with uncomfortable views or ideas are not trustworthy? Perhaps that's the whole crux of the issue with Milo. Except that, unlike Milo, none of us are out to gain converts.

So in conclusion, Milo's egotism, elitist attitude, and narcissistic "rose in a patch of weeds" thinking are his own self-applied Achilles' heels.

Sadly, I don't think he will lose those attributes. A shame, too, because UncleMilo can make good points, when he holds the aforementioned attributes in check.

    Now for bed.
  • 2003-05-26 15:42:18 Christ, Milo, settle the fuck down. It's not like someone killed Michael Moore.

    Happy Memorial Day, all.

  • Logout... 2003-05-17 23:07:51 I should take a shower and go see the Matrix sequel at 10:00. I do believe I will do so.

In other news, me and klinky have to get Mr. 1984 Chevy Cavalier's steering fixed. It's looking to be around $500. Unless it isn't the rack and pinion, just the steering pump or air in the fluid or some shit. I'm not holding my breath, though, since God hates me.

    Regard UncleMilo's firearms post...

Registration MIGHT be a good idea, so long as there are safeguards to keep it from being abused by the government. Maybe the NRA could maintain the list? That way, if we ever have need to use our arms against the government, the NRA can trash the lists, and then the Big Brother fascists can't easily disarm us.

Sounds good to me, so long as the NRA doesn't become a sellout group to the government.

Speaking of using firearms against the government, I really need to get that semi-auto AK-47...
