Today on the 11th month of the 11 Day at the 11th hour... we Canadians pause for two minutes of silent tribute to remember the sacrifice of those men and women who have died or suffered in wars and conflicts and all those who have served during the past 100 years.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row

We must all remember. If we do not, the sacrifice of those one hundred thousand Canadian lives will be meaningless. They died for us, for their homes, families, and friends, for a collection of traditions they cherished and a future they believed in; they died for all of Canada . The meaning of their sacrifice rests with us all; our freedom and future is their monument.
So we remember these brave men and women for their courage and their devotion.... who sacrificed their lives and their futures so that we may live in peace.
