JOURNAL: Captain Spadaro (Michael Spadaro)

  • When will the stupidity end? 2006-08-10 01:21:16 Captain's log, stardate 2006.222: The conflict between Israel and Hezbollah continues. It boggles the mind how the Islamic facists can gain the support they have. I know the majority of Muslims do not condone the actions of groups like al-Qaeda and Hezbollah, but they need to make their voices heard. Otherwise, they'll have their hands drenched in blood, the sins of the radicals marking them and their children for generations.
  • The powderkeg is ready, all it needs is a match 2006-07-22 15:47:45 Captain's log, stardate 2006.203: The conflict between Israel and Hezbollah continues, and, at this time, shows no signs of stopping. From what I can tell, the only way to stop all of this is for Hezbollah to be dissolved, permanently. Most of the coverage I have seen on Fox News say that Hezbollah is being supplied by Iran. However, I do not know if this is true. All I know is that I am a witness to history.
  • Has it begun? 2006-07-14 15:21:21 Captain's log, stardate 2006.195: World War III may be nigh. The reason I say this is because Israel has been taking military action against Lebanon for killing 8 of their soldiers and kidnapping 2 more. Last night, while watching Fox News, I saw a blurb that Israel suspected that a rocket attack launched against them may have been the work of Iranian forces working inside Lebanon. If it IS true that Iran has been supporting Hezbollah, a terror group based in Lebanon, then a full-scale war in that region may be just around the corner.
  • IE behaving strangely 2006-07-11 21:39:51 Captain's log, stardate 2006.192: Over the last couple of days, for some reason, IE has been freezing up. I don't really know why. I did a Disk Cleanup, something I rarely do, and while the amount of free space on my hard drive has gone up, the problem hasn't been cured. Error reports have been sent to Microsoft. I'm hoping the problem goes away by itself.
  • On our own, plus driving impressions 2006-06-28 21:07:17 Captain's log, stardate 2006.179: Well, my parents are on their way to Connecticut, having decided to entrust the house to me and my sister. The temptation to have friends over is great, and I probably will invite someone over, but not before procuring certain things.

I finally got a chance to experience a rear-wheel-drive car today, when my dad let me take the helm of his company car so we could go to JJC to drop off some financial aid stuff. It felt different, to be sure. The sensation of being pushed, rather than being pulled, like a front-wheel-drive car, was a refreshing change. The "oomph" of the engine was also greater, though that could be attributed to the fact that the car has a positive displacement supercharger on the engine. I look forward to driving it again.
