after Christmas update
2006-12-29 00:10:30
Captain's log, stardate 2006.362: I hope everyone had a nice Christmas. Mine was alright, although "Santa" forgot the Playstation 2. >_< Anyway, seeing as the end of the year is approaching fast, I was wondering: is anyone planning a New Years party, or something of that nature? I'd like to see everybody again before the year is out. I don't want to ring in the new year sitting in front of my computer, like I've done the last 2 years.

First semester is over
2006-12-19 15:35:35
Captain's log, stardate 2006.353: I had my finals last Wednesday, and I'm ashamed to say that I flunked 2 of my classes: Engine Rebuilding and Fundamentals. In the former, what got me were the exams (I knew doing them the day before they were due would bite me); the latter was due to not handing in some of the labs we did in the shop. I'm pretty disappointed in myself, to be honest. I'm capable of getting much better grades than these. It's almost like something's holding me back, but I don't know what it is.
Anyway, in other news, my sister came home for the holidays last Saturday. I also used the money I got from selling a couple of my textbooks back to the JJC Bookstore to buy volumes 6 and 7 of the Evangelion Platinum Edition.

How do I unlocked Sound Test?
2006-12-11 09:59:02
Captain's log, stardate 2006.345: It took a while, but after X number of tries, I finally unlocked the Sound Test in Super Smash Bros. Melee. Wasn't easy, though. I swear, that AI can be damn brutal when it wants to be. On a related not, I haven't been able to replicate what happened at Nicole's Halloween party; that is, getting Giga Boswer to appear. I tried a few times last night, but it didn't happen. I'm starting to wonder if it was a fluke.
Switching gears, Christmas is coming up in 2 weeks. The reason I bring this up is because I've been toying with the notion of throwing a Christmas party, since it doesn't appear that anyone else is (I could be wrong about that, though). The thing is, I don't know the first thing about hosting parties. Plus, there are certain "issues" that might come up. I'm not gonna go into detail about what they are, but I will say they pertain to certain people.

...Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.
2006-12-02 23:35:27
Captain's log, stardate 2006.336: Yesterday could be summed up in six words: College is closed due to snow. A big snowstorm came through here during Thursday night/Friday morning, blanketing the entire area with snow. Needless to say, I did absolutely nothing yesterday. Well, almost nothing. I had to throw some clothes on and move my car out of our driveway so it could be plowed. Getting all the snow off my car wasn't easy, though, I will say. I had given some thought to calling some of the guys today, but it didn't pan out, as I spent a good deal of today sleeping. Oh well, perhaps tomorrow.

Thanksgiving update and a rant
2006-11-23 13:42:01
Captain's log, stardate 2006.327: It's been a relatively quiet month of November for me. Considering the events of October, though, I guess I shouldn't complain. Anyway, the only major thing that's happened is that I purchased new wiper blades for my new car, a 2000 Infiniti I30. Well, that and my sister coming home for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Moving on, late Tuesday night, I downloaded a song by Weird Al called "Don't Go Makin' Phony Calls". For those who don't know, it's a parody of a song called "Don't Go Chasing Waterfalls" from the 90's; I don't remember who did it, but that's not important. What IS important is that I started thinking about it. By that, I mean the "message" (or something) of the song. I mean, why would someone chase a waterfall? For that matter, how the hell do you chase a waterfall? It doesn't really move from place to place, now, does it?
