- Recap of the last few days 2007-02-14 20:12:49 Captain's log, stardate 2007.045: I just finished replacing the second headlight bulb on my mom's car, so I'll probably be driving the Infiniti again soon. The last few days have been somewhat eventful, what with the combo birthday party John and Chewie had at John's house on Saturday and going to the Auto Show with dad on Monday. We had a heck of a snowstorm here yesterday, so driving to and from school is probably gonna be dicey the next few days.
- This was unexpected 2007-01-24 20:17:02 Captain's log, stardate 2007.024: I ran into an old friend today when I arrived at school. That person was none other than Clair Nichols. I had always thought that she went off to some 4-year university out-of-state, but it turns out that even though she did get a scholarship, it was cheaper to attend classes at JJC. She's majoring in neuroscience, which deals with how the brain works. The big thing, though, is that she seemed genuinely happy to see me. Needless to say, I was in a good mood for the rest of the day. It'll be interesting to see what comes of this, but right now my 2nd semester is looking a good deal brighter.
- This would make a great episode of a show about technicians 2007-01-19 20:10:37 Captain's log, stardate 2007.019: Today was a strange day at school. After lunch, my shop partner and I were assigned to work on this white Ford Explorer. We were supposed to change the oil and do a safety inspection, as well as fix an exhaust rattle and figure out why the thing was running rough (it would start, then die). To make a long story short, one problem after another popped up in an almost comical fashion and order, leaving me frustrated and confused by the time it was all said and done.
- Insert semi-witty title here 2007-01-18 18:47:35 Captain's log, stardate 2007.018: This last week has been pretty uneventful. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not. Aside from the light snow we got a couple days ago, the only thing worth noting is that I've been taking a growing interest in the series Bleach. I've already come up with a basic outline for a crossover that I may or may not get around to writing (as soon as I kick myself in the ass hard enough). Plus, some of the fanfics I've read have been pretty good.

New year, new semester

Captain's log, stardate 2007.009: Well, the new year is here. Unlike the last 2 years, I spent New Year's Eve with friends, which was a first for me. Much thanks goes out to John for inviting me to his New Year's party.
Anyway, today was the start of my second semester at JJC. I'm only taking 3 classes this semester, and they are: Electrical/Electronic Diagnosis on Wednesday, Automotive Fuel Systems on Tuesday and Thursday, and Automotive Service II (my shop class) on Friday. With the exception of the shop class, all of my classes start at 10:00 AM, which means I should be able to make it to them on time, although finding a parking place is gonna be a bit tricky.
