The world of music...
2003-12-28 23:29:24
First off, let me tell you about my finals in hockey today. The other team did not show up! -_- I couldn't believe it. Nevermind me, my whole team could not believe it. If there was ever a team that had a reason not to show up, it would have been us, since we sort of lost all four of hour games yesterday. lol Anyways, we just split our team in two, and played a fun game for an hour. Still, it would have been nice to have a real game.
Back to music. I just spent the last 2 hours watching television shows about music. A little bit about Janet Jackson, then a bit of the Brit Awards, but most of it was spent on Cher. Just some interviews, bios and her Farewell Tour. I have to admit, she looks great for her late fifties (she looks good for thirties) and her voice is still perfect. In fact, I noticed that though she may have looked young at 16, she hasn't really changed much since her twenties. I realize some surgery had to be done, but still. Even just being able to move so energetically. If my grandmother... scratch that. If my mother... scratch that. If my gym teacher tried to move like that, she'd probably hurt herself. lol Anyways, before I keep lingering, I just wanted to mention that I was really impressed. Not too many singers are able to have a number one single in the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, AND 90s! 0_0
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance is an amazing game. With the timer in the game, I realized I've already played about 4 hours. For just two days, that's a little extreme for me. Reminds me of the days when Pokémon Red and Blue just came out. lol
That's enough from me for one day that I can bare to handle. lol ^_^

Time to pull out the shorts and sandals...
2003-12-27 23:42:03
Ok, so that's a little bit of an exageration, but it really is pretty warm outside. Tomorrow there's a high of 8°C, and the next day should have a high of 7°C. In the summer this would feel terribly cold, but in the middle of winter, it's boiling out! Talk about a strange Christmas holidays.
We totally sucked at our hockey tournament. We were blown out for our first two games, and kept it close for the next two, though we still lost all four games. Tough hockey. Lots of physical play, and definitely a lot of skating. Going up and down the ice so many times wears a person out in no time.
The light for the GBA SP is so bright! First off, I try not to use the light during the day, but the screen is horrible when it comes to reflections, so it's hard to find a nice spot to use it. But in the dark, it's pretty good. The light is so bright, that it easily could be used as a flashlight when you're in the dark. My only real complaint is the lack of a headphone jack. How could someone not put the headphone jack in a portable video game device?!?! Oh well, I suppose it was a smart way to make money, by having to make people buy the little adapter that fits in the (what looks to be) USB port in the back to use their headphones. -_-

Another uneventful holiday, well, day...
2003-12-26 23:04:16
Luckily I actually got up early today. I really dislike waking late, because it feels like the entire day has been watsed. This way, I can do whatever I want in the morning, and am normally done goofing off by lunchtime! ~_^
We did a little shopping, but there wasn't too much. All the sale stuff was probably taken by all the serious shoppers at 7:00am. I was up at 7:10am, but was in no shape for shopping, so we all went a little later. Anyways, it was just nice to be outside. There was a clear blue sky, with nice warm sunlight. Nothing more I could ask for.
Tomorrow should be a really busy day. I have a 3 on 3 hockey tournament, with at least 4 games. I think my games are at 4:30, 6:00, 7:30 and 10:30. Yes, all at night. Last year this was a great tournament. Most teams have very little players because of the holidays, so sometimes you get invited to other teams to play in your free time. This one guy played the entire day! It's just a great day of hockey. ^_^
This is so weird, like I've mentionned before, lately I've been lacking the inspiration to write lengthy Journals. There was a time where I had to edit out pointless dribble, now pointless dribble is being added in. I need to find something that inspires me. And not just for writing, but to help inspire me in my day to day life as well...

Christmas day...
2003-12-25 15:37:12
Ok, so it's not a white Christmas, but a little snow is falling right now, and there might be a decent amount by the end of the day. ^_^
Like our tradition dictates, we opened our presents last night (technically this morning, 12:00am). I felt a little odd because I had a lot more gifts than anyone else. My brother had less because he got his base guitar, so that was pretty much his one big present. Once we were done, everyone went to bed, but I stayed up a few more hours and enjoyed Christmas. I got a DVD player, a GBA SP (Onyx), Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, some socks (I needed a good pair ^_^), dress pants, a DBZ manga, art supplies, music (self-recorded from a friend who plays the harp), a Toblerone and money (from all my relatives who have no clue what to get me). I was sure to thank everyone for their thoughtful gifts. ^_^
Stores open very early tomorrow morning, around 7:30am! o_0 Maybe I'll even wake up that early and check out some of the sales. Hey, don't give me that look, shopping is fun! ~_^
As for the rest of today, we have a Christmas dinner planned with my grandparents. My cousins would be over, but they went to Montréal, which they do every Christmas.
Well, here's wishing everyone a Merry Christmas, and a Happy Holidays!!!

Christmas Eve has arrived...
2003-12-24 00:20:02
In about 24 hours, I get to find out what has been hidden in all those pretty boxes under the Christmas tree. ~_^
These past few days have been really gloomy. Today it rained all day, and I don't think the sun ever came out. Luckily it's supposed to get pretty cold tomorrow (25th), because I don't think I like the idea of a green Christmas. It could be the first one in a long time!
I've been really laxed these past few days. Must be because of the weather. All I've done is watch anime, get re-energized from it, then lose all my enthusiasm within a few hours. Well, here's hoping for a nice cold sunny day for tomorrow!
I was so tired this afternoon, that when I was trying to review someone's AMV, I started falling asleep. The AMV couldn't be blamed, but there wasn't much more to write when you can't keep your eyes open. Unfortunetely the review had to be left a little shorter than usual. Maybe I'll go fix it up another day.
I've been having trouble writing lengthy Journal entries lately as well. I guess I'll take my leave at this point then. Goodnight and pleasant dreams to all. And if I don't write another entry, I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy Holidays!
