JOURNAL: Anime Jedi

  • Revelations... 2004-04-07 07:07:00 Big news! You know that course that has been murder on me, Discrete Geometry (Math)? It's not included in my University average! Since I've taken nine University type courses and Discrete is not a prerequisite for anything, they only take the average from my top six. That means my lousy 57% is not included! Looks like I'm taking this torture just for the fun of it now. ~_^

I've finally discovered who I'm going to ask to the Prom. If only I knew how to do it. Trust me, I've spent the last week going over so many ways just to say those few littles words. Maybe tomorrow at lunch... Maybe I'll drop by when she's at work... -_-

A friend on mine was hit on by some huge anime fan!!! Actually, I'm one of her only friend's who genuinely likes anime. So lately she's been slowly growing towards it. Anyways, she was at the library drawing a bit, when this random guy started giving her pointers. He went on and on about anime, and drew this little picture of Shinji (the one I used to have as my profile picture). She said it looked like me, but since he doesn't have a clue who I am, he didn't pay any mind to it. Anyways, he gave her his phone number, but she's too nervous to call. When she told me that, I practically jumped and asked if I could have his number! "Another anime fan? Awesome!" Of course I was joking about taking his number, but I admit, it definitely was a strange story.

Hmmm... I'm now going to bed around 10:00pm, but I'm having trouble getting up at 4:00am. Of course I'm "waking" up at 4:00am, but then I lay around for half an hour before going back to sleep. The body is just to lazy to roll out of bed and take a shower. lol

  • Ouch, it stings and burns... 2004-04-05 20:07:40 Uooo... over 7000 views. ^_^ I'm actually kinda embarrassed that this Journal has been viewed that many times.

Me? Try to commit suicide? Of course not! My right wrist is all cut up because when I went to turn off my alarm, I tripped and hit the shelf where my clock is tucked away. So I put a large bandage around my wrist, and let's just say I got enough funny questions. lol

How about a love story from my trip now? ~_^

Before I start things off, I'm really disappointed that I couldn't remember most of these converstions word for word. Don't you hate it when you're not prepared for something important, and the majority of it passes right by you. You only end up catching the end once you realize how important it really is. -_-

Ok, the entire trip I guess I was being generous. Not much different from usual, but since no one's ever around me for long periods at a time, everyone took it like I was strange for being so nice. I guess no ones really that used to me.

Anyways, at one point walking back to the train station to head home, I saw that two of my classmates were having trouble carrying one big bag (6 of us went on the trip, 3 boys and 3 girls). I offered to carry it, but they only said "awww" and refused my help.

At the train station, the three girls got together and started chatting enthusiasctically (word?). Next thing I know, they come up to me and one says:
-"Ok Kevin, it's decided, if you're not married in 20 years, I'm going to marry you. If I'm taken, she's marrying you, and if she's also taken (points to the third girl) she's marrying you".
Caught off guard? Ya, you could say that. I knew they were joking, so I went along with it and said:
-"Well, at least I know I'll die happy no matter what"
I think they were about to cry. I can't say that was my intention, but I'm glad I could a smile on all of their faces.

The joke pretty much lasted the rest of the day, and on the train ride. One of the girl's and I might go to the same University, so this added some detail to the joke. She said I better get in this way we could have four years to plan for our wedding. Later, we were talking about the Univeristy, and she mentionned that if she got into Law, I got into Architecture, and we were married, as a couple we'd be quite rich. Before I knew it, I said:
-"Well (insert name), I'd like to think that if I was married to you, I'd already be rich"

That was the straw that broke the camel's back. She went completely red and slightly covered her mouth with her hands. Me? My face went totally red too, but I turned around quickly to hide it. What happened next? I'm not too sure. I was emotionally drained and had to pretend that my attention was directed elsewards. Her? I think she went to tell her friends what I just said, but I'm not certain. I was too busy panicking. Next my mom walked into the train station, so I everyone met up to say goodbye. I think she was looking at me, but unfortunately I didn't have the guts to look back at her. I went that far... and then hid like a coward. x_x

Ughhh... I need a shower. Stupid, stupid, stupid...

  • Back in town with plenty of stories... 2004-04-04 06:02:38 That was definitely an awesome trip! And I'm practically just bursting with new and crazy stories! 0_0

    The craziest realization came to me on Thursday night at dinner. I was sitting there with everyone, and started thinking about our trip. It hit me that we only arrived the day before, and that we were leaving the very next day. That little piece of information made me realize how short the trip really was. ;_;

Well, I have to admit that I had such a great time that I didn't miss too much. I did however miss using a computer with internet capabilities to check my e-mail, but that's fogiveable. lol I found the Director's Cut of Evangelion (Ressurection), so I couldn't help but buy it. I also got this new school bag, one that goes over one shoulder and hangs on one side. My older one is more like a duffle bag, and not really designed for school textbooks.

Like I said, I have tons of stories to share. Long voyages. Cranky teachers (not even our own). Odd coincidences. Short tempers. A lot of walking. Absent mindedness (I was forgetful, so sue me, lol). And let's say that even a little bit of love was in the air. ~_^

Share some stories? Not today. lol

When I got back in town, I stuck around in downtown Toronto overnight because of my interview at Ryerson. It was an early interview, so my parents figured it was only a hassle to come all the way home, only to return 10 hours later. Anyways, the interview went well. It was tiring, but I was allowed to go shopping afterwards, so it was well worth it. ^_^

  • And he's off to Montréal... 2004-03-31 06:29:18 I've got to leave in about 30 minutes. This should be quite a fun little voyage. Not as fun as the Senior music trip to Europe, but the main difference is that ours is free. ~_^

I may have to cut this Journal entry even shorter than I had originally thought. I just remembered I still have to fill out some forms for my University Interview at Ryerson on Saturday! 0_0

    Gah! Hurry, hurry, hurry!

Oh ya, I forgot to mention I might not write for a few days. Who knows if there are any computers that I'll be able to use over there.

Well, no time left to spare. Later everyone! I hope that you all have an enjoyable week, like I'm hoping to have. ^_^

  • A blast from the past... 2004-03-29 23:18:23 This has got to be quick. I'm working on a project since everything that's due for the next week has to be handed in tomorrow!

Anyways, I just chatted with my best friend from 12 years ago! It totally caught me off guard. I came home after buying some new water jugs (the big 18 L ones) and was told I just missed a call. Later in the night, my mom was on the phone for awhile, and later gave it to me. She was talking to my friend's mother, and now it was my turn to catch up (I make it sound like a chore, but it wasn't like that at all.). We chatted for a good bit of time, though we did have our fair share of awkward pauses. He later had to run to music lessons, so our conversation was cut short. I'm still actually surprised to get a call from him. ^_^

Other than that, my day's been busy, as usual. Tonight I need to finish off my school work, and then tomorrow I'm going to have to put together the rest of my portfolio. Wait! I still have to pack!! I knew I forgot something!!! Looks like I'll just throw in some random clothes and hope there's something useful in the pile. ~_^
