  • As time winds down... 2004-05-04 22:56:46 The Leafs just lost in Overtime. This means they are now out of the Playoffs. I'm disappointed, but not as much as when Montréal was taken out by Tampa Bay. I wonder how people will be acting tomorrow. I'm sure there will be tons of people who'll act tough and say things like "I knew the Flyers would win, but I was just hoping the Leafs would win". -_-

Calgary won last night in Overtime as well. That was an amazing game to watch. Not only that, but it lasted until 1:34am. o_0 Let's just say there weren't enough people at school who watched the entire game for me to discuss it with. [sigh] It's easy to tell who actually enjoys the game, and who's just around for the Playoff bandwagon.

Well, the one good thing about many of these series ending is that I can finally get some homework done. Without a second thought, I put off my school work for three hours for the hockey game. That means starting around 10:00pm every night. Not a good habit to get into.

I did notice one important point though just a few moments ago. It's that the only one of my marks that are important is my English mark. Other than that, all my other grades will be taken from last semester. That means Computers, Gym and Discrete Math are no longer important for my average. Definitely takes a load off considering I have tests in all those subjects this week. lol

My weekends already seem to be booked for the next three weeks. This weekend is my friend's birthday, next weekend is my cousin's birthday (turning 9) and after that is Anime North, which by the sounds of it, my friends are giving me much choice in whether I want to go or not. ~_^

I was told that my neighbour's friend's cousin was the boyfriend Avril Lavigne talks about in the song "Don't tell me". I have some doubts about this being true. Even so, why would anyone want to advertise that, considering the song explains about a nice guy who was pressuring her to sleep with him. o_0

I just saw a commercial for Onimusha 3. Strange, considering I feel like I've seen that trailer at least a year ago...

I've just gotten distracted by the Avalanche game, so I guess I won't write anymore. Have a good night. ^_^

  • A whole new twist... 2004-05-03 18:47:20 I got asked to go to Prom. o_0

This put brought things to a new perspective. First off, I have spent the last week thinking how to ask a different girl to Prom. I failed at least twice with decent opportunities. Second, I...

    [realization]

I just realized that my friends from school have access to this Journal, if they looked hard enough that is. You know, check my profile on MSN, then link to my site, then link to this profile, then check out this Journal. Sounds nuts, but it could explain why one of my friend's seems really distant this past week...

But I can't let a little theory stop something that I do everyday. So let's continue.

Second, I realized a different girl wanted me to ask her to the Prom. With this information, it was making my life pretty confusing. Now here's something that totally blew me away today, a girl whom I had thought already had a date, asked ME out. 0_0

I asked her that I thought she already had a date, but she told me that she wasn't sure about it, and that would rather go with me. Totally took me by surprise! Worst part was that we were never able to clearify what each other were trying to say, since people kept joining us at our table in the library, then leaving just in time for someone new to interrupt us. Didn't help me at all. One of the reasons I think she asked me is because she wants to go as friends, but I have no problem with that.

I got to talk to Chenny last night for over an hour! That was so awesome! Too bad I can't say more right now. Gotta run. ^_^

  • Last minute jitters proved to be too much... 2004-05-02 01:17:39 I just finished watching "Now and Then, Here and There". It's a pretty good anime series. It's around 11-12 episodes long, so instead of feeling like a series, it feels more like a long movie.

Here's the scoop incase you've never heard of it. It's about a young boy named Shu who's trying to save the world. He's a regular boy from Japan, who one day meets this girl named Lala-ru. Turns out she's on the run, and her chasers take them both through time (or space) to what seems like another world. There he finds out Lala-ru is the key to giving the evil king Hamdo, who is in control of an army of kidnapped young children, what he needs to rule the world.

There are some depressing moments, but nothing too emotional. Though there are time you can't help but think the guy's an idiot. Seriously, who'd run around a military base screaming "Lala-ru, Lala-ru!" when you've just escaped from your holding cell? lol

Anyways, good anime to watch. Now it makes me want to watch Fluxmeister's AMV, "Endure", using the same anime.

...Windows Media Player no longer exists?!?! I knew it, it's that dumb virus or something! My computer is really getting messed up. I think tomorrow I'm going to backup whatever I need, and just to a full clean up, in other words, format my harddrive...

Ummm... about prom... I failed this afternoon. I went to the place where this girl works, to ask her if she wanted to go with me. She's a cashier there, so I was hoping to see her. But there were so many people already there, so I didn't want try and ask with everyone waiting behind me. In reality, I didn't even go to the same cash, I went to the short one since it wouldn't look suspicious. I never even got to say hi. When I got to the car, I just sat and listened to some music for a while before heading home, defeated. Sigh...

  • A conclusion is reached... 2004-04-30 09:55:13 My computer has a pop-up ad bug. It's the only solution I can think of. I'm at school right now, and the site is working fine. I guess it's a pretty a tricky bug because it covers the banner advertisement just perfectly. Hmmm... What coulud be causing it. This could be a slow weekend if I need to fix up my whole computer. -_-

And the Montréal Canadiens jokes continue. I'm holding my own right now at school, fending off everyone. You know what, I know I'm disappointed, but I think I'm more hurt because I put all my hope in the Montréal Canadiens. I usually hold back a little to make sure I don't get hurt, but this time I was all the way in. So when they lost, it pulled at a few heart strings. I guess this is what I get for having absolute faith in something. Don't get me wrong, I don't blame the Canadiens. They played an awesome series, and should have had the last two games. I guess it just hurts when something you believe fails.

But I'm not backing down. Go Habs go! ^_^

  • A disappointing end... 2004-04-29 22:51:22 Am I the only one who's getting these weird ads? Well, for those who obviously are not in the same predicament, I'll explain this weird phenomenon. You know the banner ad at the top of the webpage? It's covered with a real web advertisement. Funny thing is, is that when I log on for the first time of the day, a real AMV banner shows up, but then is covered up with this web banner. Right now I have this girl holding a bunch of blank CDs, with the text "Copy any DVD to a CD!". -_-

I think Don Cherry said it best, when the hockey gods smile upon you, all the bounces just go your way. Montréal just didn't get the bounces, and Tampa ran with it's chances. Their first goal was simply a heart breaker since it was so lucky. I have a feeling I'm going to have to set a few people in their places tomorrow at school.

I bought the DVD set "Now and Then, Here and There". I hadn't realized that one of the DVDs was a bonus disk. That's unfortunate, because I thought it was a good deal. Oh well, hopefully it will be pretty good, this way I don't regret buying it.
