  • 50th wedding anniversary... 2004-08-22 00:10:43 Here I am in Montréal for my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary. Unfortunately I must keep this very short, since my father wans us to all go to sleep early to be able to wakeup up early tomorrow morning. It bugs me, because we're all in the same hotel room, so he feels he can control everything. He basically said we were turning off the lights soon, so get ready to go to sleep at that time. Understandable, but I still hate the idea of being told what to do so directly. -_-

Time to go now. But in general I've been having fun, and missing my friends back home. Ok, so I'm only really missing one person in particular. ~_^

  • Less than two weeks to go... 2004-08-18 01:18:44 These past few days have been awesome. So much done, and not a moment wasted.

Friday morning (aka. Thursday night) was definitely one to remember. I got to admit my feelings for someone I truly care about. =^_^=

Friday was busy. I got to see the girl whom I had talked to that very morning, except I never got a chance to really speak to her. She visited me at work, but I was really busy. I felt so horrible, because she kept waiting, until I was free, but that moment never really came. I saw her again later that day, but she was with a bunch of our friends, so we couldn't continue where we left off Friday morning.

Saturday I worked all day. I debated whether to call her from work, but decided against it. "Good things come to those who wait" Well, that's what I kept telling myself. lol

That night I was working on her painting. Sunday was a birthday party for myself and three of my friends, including her, so I definitely needed to get her gift done in time. Since my room's in the basement, I like to keep the screen door open by itself for fresh air, and it's a fun way for friends to invite themselves over when I'm home. Anyways, she dropped by, so we could finally talk. Well, after talking, we decided to start going out! ^_^

Finally got most of the painting done after she left, but still had to finish it the next morning. After that, I practiced driving my mom's manual transmission car (definitely a rough ride to begin with) and spent the day getting ready for the party.

Sunday night was time for the party to begin. We all went out for dinner and met at the restaurant. Then we went to our friend's house to open presents and watch movies for the night.

In the morning, we made chocolate chip pancakes with gummy bears (I don't suggest trying them), and jumped on her trampoline. Next was our big "Where's Waldo?" game. My friend dressed up her brother as Waldo, and let him lose. That meant we had to search the town for a boy dressed in a red and white striped shirt and similar hat, wearing glasses. Found him within an hour. Then everyone came to my house to cool off with a swim, and dinner. After eating, everyone came to watch me play soccer. That was nice, since no one's ever done that before. ^_^

Once the game was over, everyone headed to the house of the third birthday person (host of the party) for cake. Of course, I went home first so I could shower, but quickly rejoined them. We had 5 cakes to eat, but only ate probably 2 pieces from each one. Let me just say that by this time, we were all exhausted. I drove everyone home, but the girl I like said she wasn't tired, so we went over to her house to watch Finding Nemo, our favourite movie. ~_^ Of course by this time it was 2:30am, which my dad told me to be back by, so that marked the end of my crazy weekend.

  • Anime Day a rousing success... 2004-08-12 00:06:39 [Yawn] It's now been about 36 hours with very little sleep. It would be no sleep, but I just took an hour nap while watching television.

We actually sat through the entire series of Neon Genesis Evangelion (along with the movies) in one entire sitting. Lasted approxiamately 12 hours. Half the people with me last night were watching it for the very first time, and let's just say this was probably not the most mentally healthy decision they've made recently. Watch the series ending = WTF, Watch the movie ending = Double WTF.

I'm glad things worked out in the end. This was a night I have having doubts about, though I had been planning for a long time. But now it's out of the way, and we have bigger things to look at. Like our joint birthday party supposedly taking place this Sunday. o_0

I'm tired. There are still a few things I'd like to get done before going to sleep, though I admit the majority of these things will probably get half done, and I'll end up sleeping face first on my desk.

  • 22 days until I'm out of the house... 2004-08-07 02:53:23 I just can't wait for school to start, this way I can take a rest. Summer is made for relaxing, not for making things more stressful. Well, looks like this isn't the case this year.

I'm trying to plan a movie day with my friends. Most people are free almost all the time, so I only had to manage around my schedule, and one of my friend's. Good thing too! Because I could only find one day in all of August that we could both get together. -_-

I'd like to go skydiving with my friends once before we head off to University, but as of right now it looks unlikely. Since I actually make a calendar for the sole purpose of organizing this hectic month, it seems there won't be anytime to do it. Not to mention not all of our parents are thrilled about the idea. -_- (why can't I find any reasons to make a happy face?)

    I haven't had anytime whatsoever to get any painting done. This is really bothering me, because it's going to take me a lot of time just to get the details just right for the characters if Finding Nemo. And to think, the last thing I need to put more projects on my plate. ;_;

If I ever find the time to play Tales of Symphonia, remind me to slap myself for wasting the time. Ok?

  • New features... 2004-08-02 02:14:25 Uooo... New features here on the Org. So far what I've noticed is the My Banner and My Opinios Recvd. Pretty cool. One thing that disappoints me is the banner section. So many of my banners have gotten just over 80 votes! All this time I've felt bad because I thought so many of my banners were awful. Maybe if I just tweak them a little...

I got some of my DVDs back! Yay, now I can watch Evangelion again and all of it's movies. ^_^

I just bought some new manga, the first volumes of Mahoromatic and Crest of the Stars. Well, that's what I do. I buy the first volumes, and nothing else. Gives me a good taste of the anime, but saves me the trouble, time and money of buying the entire series, which is usually something crazy like 12 volumes or more.

With the busy schedule this month, I tried writing down all the things I need to do on a calendar. Of course with this approach, it seems I'm going to have tons of extra time. Why is it that once you get organized, everything just seems to fall into place? Just means my parents won't let me live it down that they were right about planning ahead. -_-

Just saw the Village last night. Good movie. I know tons of people said they hate the ending, but I still liked it. Not as good as some of Shamyalans (sp?) other films, but still decent. There were a few parts that were definitely nerve racking and suspenseful though. 0_0
