Thanksgiving weekend...
2004-10-11 19:46:16
I just got back from my Thanksgiving weekend at home. It was fun. I got to see some friends, some family and of course, my girlfriend.
Right now I have a headache, which is totally uncommon for me. And my friend is bugging me to get some more of our project done. I don't understand his rush. He's working on it like it was due yesterday. He better not keep pushing me, because it's only due on Wednesday, and I don't respond well to being forced to do something.
I got this idea and gave a baby picture of myself to my girlfriend before she went back to her University. Actually, I had been going through some old photo albums the night before, and took a bunch out. Except for a few, I gave her a choice to pick. She ended up taking the rest. -_- Talk about being greedy. j/k ~_^ After doing so, it reminded me of Kare Kano, and how Souichiro and Yukino exchange cherished pictures. =^_^=
I wish I could get some sleep now, but looks like I have to get some work done for my friend. Fun, fun.

A new way to sleep...
2004-10-05 03:16:57
Ever have trouble waking up? Worried about sleeping in? Do I have an answer for you! Go to sleep right after dinner! lol
But seriously now, it actually works. This was the first night I think in 4 weeks that I got more than 6 hours of sleep. I usually take a nap after dinner, wake up after 3 hours, and work the rest of the night. If I'm unlucky, I may even fall asleep while working. Then I would panic the next morning to try and finish everything! lol But last night I just went to sleep arounf 7:00pm, and didn't wake up until 2:00am. That's about 7 full hours of sleep. I'm impressed with myself. ^_^
Being downtown is killing my budget. Here's a list of all the anime I've bought ever since I've been living in downtown Toronto. I've bought the first Pokémon VHS tape (gotta love it), 4 random Rurouni Kenshin VHS tapes, the Excel Saga DVD box set, the third volume of Initial D, the South Park movie on DVD, a ReBoot DVD, Utena the movie on DVD, the second volume of Mahoromatic, the Rurouni Kenshin DVD box set (Wandering Samurai, not Tales of the Meiji or Legend of Kyoto), and last but not least, the complete Vision of Escaflowne series on DVD. So much money, all gone!!! ;_; (Look, Kevin is crying twin waterfalls! Sorry, it's an Excel Saga joke)

We all get sick once in awhile...
2004-10-01 20:44:39
I have a cough. -_- It doesn't happen very often. This is what happens when your girlfriend spends the night with you (no, not like that) and she has a cold. She says she gets sick often. Hmmm... And I'm never sick. This could be an interesting relationship.
My first real day without homework... I was so bored! I ended up watching the second DVD of Excel Saga and playing lots of Tales of Symphonia. Ya, I'm not done yet. I took a nice month and a half break. lol But I plan on beating it this weekend, if I can handle it. I just need to make a pact with Luna and Aska... Do I have much further to go?
I should have been cleaning today, but I was too bored to do that. I did however get around to doing laundry. I guess since it's the easiest thing to finish. lol
Shark Tale opens today. I'm a little skeptical. My girlfriend and I are very big Finding Nemo fans. And we're not sure if this can live up to those standards. Not to mention that I was reading some reviews about Shark Tale today, and they're not exactly favourable. I suppose this may just end up being a war about Pixar vs Dreamworks. Unfortunately, I can't remember the last movie I enjoyed from Dreamworks, so... Pixar it is!

First date...
2004-09-26 23:33:40
It's almost been an entire week. I suppose that lately I've been staying clear of my computer and the internet. I'm online for about an hour a day now just to say hi to people or answer e-mails. Otherwise, I find that the instant access to information and my media files has been too overwhelming for me to concentrate on my studies. Though let's admit it, I haven't worked much anyways.
Why? Rurouni Kenshin. I've come to thoroughly enjoy that series. I've been buying lots of anime (since access is plentiful when living downtown) and in quite a variety. But I find some VHS tapes of Kenshin, episodes that are scattered, but it's really good. In fact, when I found a used copy of the first season of Kenshin on DVD, I snagged it for myself. Now with the Excel Saga box set and some misc stuff like Utena, Initial D and Mahoromatic, I've put very little focus on my grades. Luckily after watching an anime like Samurai X just a few hours ago, I'm fully determined to concentrate on my studies. Kenshin and Kare Kano are great anime series for one to become more determined and be able to reach their goalsby overcoming any difficulty.
Oh, by the way, I just went on my first date on Friday. Not only was it my first date with my girlfriend, but my first date in general. I met her at 9:00pm, saw a movie, took the subway back to Toronto, had dinner at 1:00am, walked the quiet streets together, ran around in the water fountains of Dundas Square, and called it a night around 4:00am. Best date ever!
Well, I have to go now. I still have a project due in approxiamately 12 hours and a few assignments to finish as well. This was an exciting weekend, and now it's time to hit the books. ~_^

Two in a row...
2004-09-20 04:15:14
Let's see how many of these I can do in a row! First I have dinner. Then I take a short nap, perhaps 3 hours. Then I stay awake until the next day's dinner. I suppose this is a lot like sleeping for the night, except for that I don't get comfortably tucked all teh way in like how I would in a long night's rest. I feel fine now, but who knows in the future. Maybe two nights in a row of 3 hours of sleep will be pushing my limits... If not, I'm sure three nights will be the breaking point. Anyways, that's ok because I'm only doing this to prepare myself for the hard nights in this Architecture course. Who knows, maybe it won't be as bad as everyone says. That'll be great, because it means I prepared myself well.
My girlfriend got back from the wedding today. She called me when she got back, and we chatted for a bit. Then she left for floor meeting in her residence, but when she came back, she called me again. Then she went to dinner, and called me again at midnight since that's when I told her I'd be awake (after my nap). But that conversation was short, so I could e-mail her some pictures. After the e-mail, I decided I would call her instead of her always calling me. Then we chatted to about half an hour ago.
Here's a first, she made ma cry. First time I've cried in a LONG time. I wasn't expecting that. And not just once, but three times. It's not like she meant to either. She was just talking about missing me and all that, and I guess talking for a long enough time makes it easy to express some of the things that usually are hard to say. I got some of the things from Friday night off my chest. Most of it had to do with my insecurity about our relationship. Hey, I can't help it if I feel that she's bound to find some other guy better than me at her University. It's almost guaranteed. I just hope she doesn't forget about me. -_-
By the way, I finally wrote two more reviews. I'll try to write at least around one a day, or at least two a week. lol
