University fears...

One of the last thing you ever want to hear while at University... Is that your pet is dying.
My dog Kiley is not in the best of health. She just turned 12 I believe, and is a doberman. She's just awesome. She loves attention and definitely acts like a little pup in front of company.
She's usually pretty healthy. She was very energetic all the time, even when it was evident that she was getting old. Lately she's been coughing a bit, and my parents took her to the vet. It's been around 2-3 weeks now, and she's only been getting worse. Today when my dad took her to the vet again, he suggested to put her down. Luckily when my dad talked ot my mother about it, she wanted to wait at least until I could see her one last time. I wasn't planning on going home until the 16th, but I'm going home this Friday to visit her. The last thing I want to do is prolong anykind of suffering. I love Kiley so much, and this couldn't have happened at a worse time, especially with my first exam this very Thursday! [sigh] I was afraid that leaving to go University would mean losing what I figured was her last year with us. Well, unfortunately, I was right.

...to finish up the season!
Ok, so that probably won't be true anyways, but at least I won't have to stay up all night working on a project's anymore, until next semester rolls around anyways. lol
Last night's project was brutal. I was working on maps and diagrams until 5:00am. Once that was all done, I went to Kinko's (24 hour photocopying) to get it all bound together. There were a bunch of other people doing the same thing, so it took awhile. We finally left around 7:00am, only to walk back to residence against one of the coldest winds I've ever felt. It hurt. Seriously.
After my classes today though, I slept. I woke up after a 4 hour nap, which was perfect. ^_^ I'm just plain happy that it's only done to the exams. I remember in High School I never really looked forward to exams. Now, everyone in my classes are just relieved that there are no more projects to plague us. lol

Finding the right gift...

Talk about a pain in the butt. There's nothing more discouraging than shopping all day and not having found a single gift. That's why this year I'm trying to figure out all my gifts ahead of time, this way I can go shop for them, and that's it. It's the thinking that's hard now... lol
I sort of got into an argument with my girlfriend last night. It's funny, we both seem to have very opposite opinions. Almost all the time we just happen to choose opposite sides of a conversation. This doesn't always go over all that great. lol Not to mention that I'm easily jealous, and she's easily defensive. Let's hope we can make it into the new year without any real hardships. ^_^
I have so many manga series. I mean, all I do is buy the first volume. This way I don't get roped into buying 10 volumes for one series. But I still have tons. I have at least 17 first volumes right here in my room. And I've probably only read about half of them! Hahaha!

Exams are almost upon us...

I only have a few more days of school left. I couldn't be happier. My only problem is that on the last day I have a huge project due. That could pose a bit of trouble. My mind has basically given up and is on vacation mode. My last project I didn't even do. It was 10% of one of my classes, so I didn't worry too much about it, and when it came to it, I couldn't bring myself to complete it. Scratch that, even start it I mean.
After that, it's a combiination of studying for exams and Christmas shopping. This could prove deadly for my bank account. I, gosh darn it, can't afford this anymore. I am simply not used to so much money disappearing over such a short period of time. -_-
I've been sleeping so much! It's kinda freaky actually, because if I'm not eating or working, I'm sleeping. I don't know how this is possible, since everytime I wake up, I'm more tired than before. Is my body trying to play catch up with the past few months? Better not... lol

More school related junk...

My two catch phrases lately have been "Oy" and "Aya". For some strange reasonI keep using them. "Aya" is used usually instead of "Oh no!" or "Oh great!". You know, something to show disappointment or frustration. It's usually a more animated (as in active) term so I'll really be upset. "Oy" is basically the same thing, but shorter, like saying "Ugh..." or [sigh]. It's more of a way of saying that I've given up on the situation. I dunno, but whenever I say "Aya", I sound like a cranky elderly Chinese woman. It's funny. -_-
I gave my girlfriend this website today. She said she likes reading profiles, so I gave her this one. So most likely she found this Journal too and is having a bit of fun with it. Hi honey!
Well, back to school. I had two projects due on Monday, but since I went home for the weekend, I had a difficult time finishing them. One of them I "completed" right at the deadline. I say, "completed" because it was like the bare minimum. The other one, I never got around to doing. I could finish it tonight... But I'm just so sick of the work that I don't know if I'll do it. It would be 10% off if I handed it in 24 hours late. It's worth it... But Still madening. -_-
My brother's home alone for the week. My parents have gone on vacation for the week, and since I'm here in the city at school, that leaves him all alone for now. Our grandmother checks on him in the morning to make sure he's up in time for school, but otherwise he's on his own. Talk about lucky. lol
Aya! I was just on my school's website checking my marks, and it shutdown on me! It's not surprising though, since it shuts down for a few hours every morning at 3:00am for maintenance. It's just frustrating because I forgot about it. lol I wanted to see what my mark would be if I don't do my project tonight. Hmmm... maybe this is a sign to show that I really should do it. lol
