  • And let the holidays begin... 2004-12-16 12:00:49 Well, I'm at home right now, after packing everything I needed for the holidays (and perhaps some stuff I didn't really need), I came home yesterday afternoon. Last night and today I've been unpacking. One thing I'm relaly happy about accomplishing is fixing up my second computer. The internet now works on it, and the sound as well. I'm even considering switching up the one I have at residence and this one simply because this one has much faster components, while the other one has been lagging when playing some of my larger music videos. Either way, I'll have one working computer at home, and one at school!

I'm basically done christmas shopping. I still have a few small things, like cards and something for my mother. But all in all I'm done buying gifts for everyone. Though I still have a few paintings to make. And that's what's going to take the most of my time...

My anime DVD collection has reached 94 DVDs, and that's not including the fact that many cases hold bonus disks. lol Sometimes I think about how much money has been spent... And then I slap myself in the face because then I start wondering if I should consider buying insurance... lol

  • Things are flipped in a matter of hours... 2004-12-14 22:34:05 It's no longer 1 exam down and 3 to go.
It's now 3 exams down and 1 to go! ^_^

Tonight I'm packing a lot of my stuff, since I'm heading home tomorrow. I should probably be studying, but I'm tired of it. And there's no point working if all it's going to do is make me miserable and not end up learning anything at all. lol

Today's exams were Components (Architecture) and French. I finished both exams with still half the alotted time left, but that doesn't mean that I did well. lol Oh well, if I knew it, I answered it. If I didn't, I made something up. Simple as that. ^_^

  • Just because you don't feel like it, doesn't mean you shouldn't do it... 2004-12-12 14:56:28 Studying.

Yup, that's exactly what my title refers to. lol

I've already logged 5 hours on my new Pokémon FireRed. It's a lot of fun, since it's basically the first version of the game, redone. The only problem is that it's a lot more confusing for those of us who started getting lost in huge world of Pokémon over the multiple version... Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal, Ruby, Saphire, FireRed and LeafGreen. I used to have almost every fact memorized from the original games. So when my Charmander learned "Metal Claw" at level 13, you could say I was more than a little surprised. 0_0 It seems they made this more than just an update. It has new worlds, new attacks, and once you reach the end, your new goal is to complete the National Pokédex with 386 Pokémon. 0_0 And here I thought the original game was hard enough. -_-
Hehe... and I already found a mistake in the game "I saw your feat from the grass" Tsk, tsk... A spelling mistake this early in the game already.

But after 5 hours, I've put away my game for now. It has become was too distracting, and I'll never get any studying done with it around. Now my last obstacle is my new anime set, "Please! Teacher". It's a nice little romantic comedy. But leave it to a traditional anime character to not even be able to enjoy the company of a beautiful woman, let alone being happy once in awhile now that he's married to her! [sigh]

  • Not much you can do when you're tired... 2004-12-11 03:00:11 I slept basically all day. It was actually quite funny. I got back to residence around 11:00am (after a long goodbye to my pup). After checking my messages, I did a few phones calls, and picked up some more Christmas gifts. Once back, I slept from 4:00pm to 9:00pm. I just didn't want to do anything. Not even watch my new DVD set, Please! Teacher. ^_^ I've only watched two episodes, but it's relaly good so far. Every school boy's dream. lol

Once awake, I started playing Pokémon Fire Red. Let me just say that the original Pokémon games are simply amazing. Pokémon Red and Blue are two of the best games ever! The remakes are good too, so I've just started enjoying this new version. Can't get enough of it. Great, Please Teacher and Pokémon Fire Red... How is a guy supposed to get any studying done for exams?!?! ...Beat the game and watch the whole series first? j/k

  • First exam is tomorrow... 2004-12-08 23:41:17 My Systems exam is tomorrow. Well, in about 8 hours, so in other words, at 8:00am Thursday morning. Should be fun. -_- Totally multiple choice. Easy to finish, not easy to do well on. [eye roll]

I'm actually considering pulling an all-nighter. I still don't know a lot of the material. I don't know why, but I've been very reluctant to do a whole lot of studying. This is like high school all over again. I don't need to worry about sleeping in, since I've already asked the two other people on my floor in my class to check on me before they leave. So everything should be fine.

My girlfriend has an exam tomorrow morning as well. She seems to be doing fine. She's been studying all day, so everything should be fine tomorrow for her.

I'm still a little worried about my dog though. I've been thinking about her quite a lot, and that may be the reason why I've been reluctant to do a lot of studying. Don't get me wrong, I'm not for a second making any excuses like I'm too worried about her, but I'd be lying if I said it hasn't affected me at all. Tomorrow and Friday will be the last days I'll evre see her, and that's a tough idea to swallow. -_-

The days are counting down, and I still have a lot of Christmas gifts left to buy everyong. It's depressing because I dislike giving anything that I don't totally stand by. But with exams and everything, I can only REALLY start shopping on the 18th, which is cutting it WAY too close. -_-
