  • Time to do whatever it takes to stay up... 2005-01-30 01:57:47 I have a project which I need to finish up and give to my partners tomorrow morning, yet, I am not done yet. A day full of procastination has led me to this. And yet it's funny because a hour ago I was simply struggling to stay awake. I knew if I fell asleep, I would not get it done, letting down my whole group. So what did I do? I took a shower hot enough that I was sweating just standing there. Harsh? Maybe, but it was time for drastic measures. I always fall asleep at the most inappropriate times, so I've come to realize not to ever trust myself and my judgement in these situations. lol

Well, I was able to sell my Escaflowne DVD set to a close friend of mine, so that works out well. She gets an anime set which she's always wanted, and I get some cold hard cash. ^_^

Hmmm... I better go now. No more procrastination. [sigh] I remind myself of Francis from Malcolm in the Middle. I actually caught an episode this afternoon, and it was hte one where Francis is "trying" to work on a project, yet keeps getting distracted by all the smallest things. Totally me. lol

  • Some people are just not meant to sleep... 2005-01-28 01:45:00 I've gotten like no sleep in the past three nights. So today it finally caught up with me. After my last class, around 5:30pm today, I got back to my room and totally crashed. And I finally woke up for good around 1:00am. Well, usually I'd be lucky if I got one phone call throughout the period of a night. Today? I was woken up on 5 seperate occasions. Not only that, but I rarely get e-mail, but not today of course. I got 7 new e-mail messages this morning. lol The bad part about being woken up and answering the phone is that you can never really remember who you're talking to, and what you were talking about! -_-

[Yawn] My last phone call was from my girlfriend. She's seemed pretty drunk when we were talking. Her and a friend of ours decided to get together for a sleepover since they were both homesick. So I had a nice conversation with two giggling girls about how they went running around outside in their socks (it's -15°C over here), shooting back jello shooters, watching movies and just sounding pretty over the edge. I just hope she's not too hung over tomorrow, since we all still have classes. lol [rolls eyes]

So many banners to view. And there were actually one or two that I liked, which is good, because I tend to feel guilty making 40 banners all "un-worthy". -_-

Well, I should have a full night ahead of me. Especially consiring that I've slept for probably a total of 5 hours after my classes. Though I did end up missing dinner... I guess I can always find something to scrap together in my room for a snack... lol

  • A very not-so busy weekend... 2005-01-24 20:01:37 o_0 Wow, lots of views for my Journal. Over 10,000 to be more accurate. Should I be worried? Or more accurately... scared? j/k! ~_^

Well, I got home late last night, or should I say nice and early this morning... Much to the dismay of my parents of course. Since my girlfriend goes to school 2½ hours away, getting home from everytime I visit her tends to be a big ordeal. I ended up missing the 9:15pm bus yesterday, so I took the 12:30am. Which would mean I would arrive in downtown Toronto around 3:00am. Everyone except for myself has seemed to disapprove of that decision. Oh well, it's over and done with, but it's still fun telling my friends. I'm always like "Ya, I got back around 3:00 yesterday", and they respond "Really? Well I never saw you at anytime". This is where I'd finish off with "Sorry, that would be 3:00am..." They always like that one because though it may be strange, they know me well enough that it's very much believable. ~_^

Friday was fun. We did some school stuff she had to get out of the way, then went out to dinner. We had Vietnamese, which was nice. Then we saw the Aviator. She thought it was a little long, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Saturday we met up with another friend and checked out a possible place ot live for the two of them next year, then then two of us just lay around in her residence room and watched the Usual Suspects, Harold & Kumar go to White Castle, Cellular and the Game. Not much else. Sunday we ended up watching the Thomas Crown Affair, the Forgotten and Signs. With dinner, I missed the 9:15pm bus, and ended up taking the 12:30am bus instead. Though all the extra time we had together was basically spent moping around since she was sad about me leaving, and I was sad about my parents being so mad about coming home so late. That wasn't exactly fun.

Anyways, I'm home now, back to Ryerson University in cold and snowy downtown Toronto. I may be sleep deprived, but at least THAT, I can work with. ^_^

  • The first real all-nighter of 2005... 2005-01-20 11:47:50 Ya, last night was brutal. I've had plety of 2-3 hour nights of sleep, but last night was my first true all-nighter. I was working on a drawing for a project not due for a long while, but I needed to get my part finished early so I wouldn't have to worry about it this weekend when I visit my girlfriend, again. ~_^

Anyways, last night was pretty tough. Though it only really started around 10:00pm, since I watched tv before that and worked out. So after that, I talked on the phone with my girlfriend, read some of my backed up pile of newspapers and went on the internet. Around 1:00am I went into Studio, and I spent around 3 hours trying to learn what to do for my project, since it quickly became obvious to me that I knew nothing at all. I read up on the work, and got lots of help from some of the other crazy people who were in Studio at the time (around 3:00am). It was a lot of help! I came back to my room around 4:30am to have some instant noodles, play GBA SP and have a shower. By 6:30am, I went back and finished up my drawing by 8:30am. And well, class started at 9:00am! [rolls eyes] Other than being tired, my body is really sore. I guess out of everything, my body was the one thing that needed the rest.

Anyways, time to head back to Studio, so I can work on another project. Maybe... I said maybe I'll get some good sleep tonight, if I can afford to waste the time. lol

  • The calm before the storm... 2005-01-18 04:09:47 These couple of weeks have been pretty peaceful. I've had a bit of trouble here and there, but in general things have kept in the slow lane.

But in two weeks, everything goes downhill! I have countless projects due, and tests, all in the same time period. It's like everyone wants their projects due a week BEFORE spring break even begins. A little strange for my liking, but there's not much I can do. lol

Excercise keeps you healthy... It's creepily amazing how valid that statement is. I haven't been able to complete anything close to an all-nighter since school has started again, but I worked out yesterday and today, and look at me now! It's already 4:00am and I plan on getting some more work done tonight (well, morning).

I JUST finished watching Excel Saga. That is most definitely one strange anime if I've ever seen one. lol Not only was basically every episode a parody itself, but strangely they were rather successful at pulling everything together in the end! Then they topped it off with some truly emotional scenes nearing the end, and one last episode that was not only funny, but creepy! By the way, no adult man should EVER even LOOK at a young girl like that guy from the anime does, let alone take her to a hotel and end up leaving her because he soon found out she really was legal age. "Sorry, but nothing turns me off like big breasts and pubic hair" (the creepy guy said) 0_0 Please let me burn out my eyes now.

Well, I suppose it's time for a bit more work. ^_^
