  • Lock and loaded... 2005-05-04 23:46:48 It's about time. My computer is finally set up. ^_^

For the past 30 hours, I've been working on my cmoputer. Yesterday I started around 6:00pm, and fell asleep around 5:30am. I burned a lot of CDs to backup all the various files on my HDD. I woke up early, but was only conscious around 11:00am. I only started formatting my computers around noon, and started working on my wireless problems around dinner time. For the past few hours I've been loading up all my backups and programs I need. It's nice to be back up and running.

I'm trying a new layout. I always used to have a tool bar on the bottom of my screen, and one on the right. I'm trying one on the top instead of the right. It's looks really strange... lol

Still need to find a job. Money is tight (for me), and my parents are definitely upset that I don't have any income at the moment...

I think my girlfriend thinks I don't care about her anymore. Which by the way is not true. It's just that I was used to seeing her only every month or so, but now I see her everyday, which can be a bit of overkill sometimes. I love seeing her, and spending time with her. It's just that I still have tons of things to get done, so I get stressed easily when I spend time having fun with her instead of doing what really needs to get done. lol -_-

  • Moving in for only 4 months... 2005-04-30 18:15:39 The past few days have been pretty busy. I've mostly been moving back home from University.

Something a little disheartening though has been slowly getting my first year grades back. most of them have been pretty dismell. I haven't failed anything... yet. Let's just pray it stays that way. -_-

These days have been feeling so hectic. It's not even like I've been doing anything strenuous, but I never seem to have a clear idea of what's going on. I'm doing each thing that needs to get done, one at a time. That's good, but I can't see anywhere into the future. It's a little scary.

One thing I've been on top of though is any new news on the newest Zelda game for the GameCube. I spend a lot of time on IGN.com. Good stuff. Simply cannot wait for that game. Oh, and Resident Evil 4 and Zelda: OT got the number 1 and 2 spots on their all time best lists recently. How awesome. And believe me, they deserve it.

  • Banner fun... 2005-04-23 19:27:23 It's been a long time since I've last made a web banner. But today I was finally successful. It's quite a load off, considering this was something I was supposed to do months ago. I finally guilted myself enough to put everything else on hold for an afternoon.

That reminds me... I have a website! I think. It might be dead by now since I haven't touched it in probably a year. I was never the best at programming, so it's not surprising I couldn't hold it together.

Maybe I'll make an AMV banner in the next few weeks. I know it's not like we need anymore, but I'm usually good at making something that's, if not spectacular at least original. It would be a nice change from what I've seen lately being made. -_- Unfortunately, I had kinda stopped after having some of my best ones voted unworthy, while my worst ones were voted worthy. o_0

You know how people get Carpal Tunnel Syndrome from typing too much? Well, I think I started getting it from playing one round of Street Fighter at the arcade. I never play long, since someone always comes around, challenges me and wipes me totally out in no time. But there's something about standing above the controls and having your hands bent like that that totally aggravates my wrists. It's bringing back memories of tearing up my knuckles last year on my punching bag. lol

I got a phone call from my mom today about when I was coming home from University. We decided either Thursday or Friday. Yup, that means only about a week left. She also told me a nice story that definitely cheered me up this raining afternoon. My little brother (by two years) got totally wasted last night! How about that. And before me none the less! She said he was still in bed groaning at 3:00pm. I can't wait to see the little guy next week and gvie him a good pat on the back. ^_^

  • A not to graceful finish... 2005-04-19 00:13:33 Exams are going fine. Today I had a tough one, Structures. It's like a complex version of Physics. lol My History one was ok too. I have my Management exam on Wednesday, and then there's only my Psychology exam left. ^_^

Things in residence aren't going so smoothly though. My two future room mates seem to be having trouble. One is coming off of a bad breakup, and the other keeps trying to help the other while getting mixed emotions thrown back at her. Both are extremely stressed, and it couldn't be happening at a worse time.

No reviews, no banners... Barely even any Journal entries. Ya, exams have been putting me back a bit.

Not to mention the other things that has been putting me back is that I finally figured out Pokémon Ruby Version. I was stuck at one point, and stopped playing for a bit. I picked it up the other day, and now I'm back on the horse. ~_^

I'm very tired right now though. Last night I fell asleep around 8:00pm, and woke up at 1:00am. I decided to stay up and study all night until my 8:00am exam. It's not 12:04am the next day, so it's almost been 24 hours. Not bad at all.

Tomorrow is supposed to be boiling hot. A scorching 26 degress Celcius in the afternoon. A little too hot for my own liking... lol

  • Say goodbye to first year... 2005-04-12 18:14:19 Yeah!!!!

Today was my last day of classes, and the last day to have to work on any projects. It's finally over.

So now I have to start studying for exams. This is going to be awesome. Exams are nothing compared to the rest of my year. I am going to thoroughly enjoy studying. lol

Yikes... My mom's friend's father just died. The title sounds far off, but I've visited him a few times whenever I go to Montréal. My mom says she'll be going, but she didn't say anything about me. Probably figures that since I'm in exams, she wouldn't want to bother me. But I feel like I should go. I mean, I remember vividly talking to the guy a few months ago. Wow, there's just been so much death lately. Or at least, that's how I feel. My grandfather, my dog, my aunts father... and not my mom's friend's father. I just feel like in that past year I've heard of more death affecting people I know than the rest of my life combined! Ironic that it all happens in my first year of living away from home.

By the way, three people were shot on Sunday right at the intersection down the street from my residence. In other words, I could have probably seen it from my window. This guy shot at these two other guys. One was hit, and the other jumped in a van. The van drove off, and the shooter kept shooting, hitting two pedestrians, before running off, leaving one of his shoes by accident. Crazy stuff.
